Norman is still upset at Sanders for defending Beckham and apparently wanted no part of an effort by Sanders to broker peace between Norman and Beckham after the game. Norman began by shutting off Sanders’ initial attempt at friendly banter — “Man, what you think we got going on?” Norman said — then blasted Sanders to his face for applauding Beckham’s actions on the air. “At the same time, I felt like you had his back on his stuff,” Norman told Sanders in front of a crowd of reporters. “You said something like, if he was your son, you would have [given] him props and [said] ‘Go out and do your thing.’ “This man ran 10 yards at me full speed like he was trying to take me out or something. That’s something you’re going to pat on the back and be like, ‘Good job!’?” Sanders responded by telling Norman that he was also proud of Norman for how he handled the situation, but Norman didn’t accept his pseudo-apology. Sanders left Norman’s podium shortly afterward. |
and yes i understand Norman was no saint that day
2. Norman still mad at Deon
3. Peyton going to retire
Pretty lame stuff. The Peyton stuff is already old.
-as Julio jones said, Norman isn't that special Bc they always roll help to his side.
-in fact I think statistically he covered the other teams #1 less than any other cb in pro football
-f him
He might become OUR whiny, hypocritical shot-heel
How many catches and yards did he have as they built that huge lead?
Didn't he have more drops than catches? More penalties than caches?
Norman may be a fool but Befoham didn't do shit vs CAR except embarrass himself.
He's a bitch.
Odell dropped an easy TD that was a complete momentum shifter. Then before he caught another pass of more than 2 yards, it was 35-7.
That game was 100% a victory for Norman. I think Odell will learn from it and going forward, it might actually work to Odell's benefit. But he completely lost that day.
Yeah, Panthers won, but Norman was seething.
He beat him deep and dropped the ball. Then he disappeared unless he was seen dropping the ball or taking cheap shots. He was terrible in that game. He didn't toast the guy all game. That''s the type of comment that gets you laughed out of a room.
Nobody, except a giant fan with blinders on, would say he toasted him all game.
I didn't say Beckham had a great game. I said that Norman's bitch ass couldn't cover him for shit. Two different concepts there.
Good for Odell. He'll be fine. And Deion should go pound sand while he's at it too
Norman was bailed out by Beckham's dropped gimme touchdown, and by the fact that the Panthers D got enough great pressure on the Giants such that he didn't have time to connect with Beckham when he burned him for what should have been another big touchdown.
Norman is an overrated punk. Beckham had to be punished for the hit (even though every hit I could find that has actually caused paralysis is a straight on collision to the top of the head and not an earhole, and even though technically the play was still live). But I have no sympathy for instigators whose entire focus is to try and bait a guy into snapping and then have someone actually snap at him,

Beckham did nothing but hurt the team for 3 Qtrs. It was the worst game of his career.

He burned him later in the game as well for what would have been a huge gain if Eli didnt get hit as he threw. The film doesnt lie KWALL. Beckham abused him. And remember Norman didnt follow him all game.
But the times they were matched up, Norman could not handle him whatsoever.
He wants a dog, he said. As in, as a son.
I think the vast majority of BBI has chimed in - then and since - saying that BOTH of these guys (OBJ and Norman) behaved reprehensibly and should have been tossed early on.
How many here want "a dog" for a son?
I'm pleased to say that my son is a sportsman and plays with fire and passion, but has never shown his ass like those two did that day.
In short: STFU Deion. You're a fucking asshole.
He ran by Norman for an easy score and dropped it. He did it again later? That doesn't add up to toasting the guy all game.
Beckham is the best player on the team but he was one of the main reasons the Giants were in a huge hole. He didn't toast the guy all game. He did nothing for 3 qtrs except hurt his own team.

Beckham's drop and the OL's inability to block for the QB does not mean Norman played well. You have to be able to differentiate the 2. You wanna say Beckham didnt play well? Thats fine, I would agree with you.
But Beckham's poor game was not caused by Norman's defense.
I don't think they get it.
I don't think they get it.
They might lose, but no way they are getting spanked.
They are just to well rounded and Den's O isn't that powerful
Jack Tatum in todays football would be fined and suspended on record levels. LOL any of those old tough players would...
Come on. If the roles were reversed and somebody said that about a WR on his team you would laugh at the guy, wouldn't you?
It's clear Beckham had an awful game. Just terrible starting with the dropped TD, swinging punches, more drops, stupid penalties. and then the big cheap shot.
It was awful. No other way to describe it or defend it. Saying it doesn't make you a bad fan or a hater.
Also not coincidental that CAR signed Finnegan shortly before Norman's matchup with OBJ. What Finnegan pulled against Johnson years ago was criminal. The NFL allowing this behavior to go on will only lead to more of it in the future.
At this juncture you can only hope somehow it sunk in for a better tomorrow. Apparently this is not the case.
Sanders and others are simply fanning the flames.
In OBJ's case his ego taking a hit could be a good thing for the future. Norman still in game mode a SB title within his reach. Hard to expect him to tone anything down right now, good, bad, or otherwise.
Time will tell as it always does.
Hope the best for both of these players.
The Refs don't call anything. ALL GAME the refs aren't calling it. They let them go at it. So they went at it. Beck wasn't getting the ball because Eli was pressured. Beck was being ATTACKED by every member of the secondary. Including the proclaimed dirties player in the league (Finnegan).
Norman is a TOY GANGSTER who began to be intimidated himself as Beck kept fighting back and was not afraid as all bullies realize, when they becomes the hunted. The last disrespectful play by Norman was he last straw. Beck had to BLAST him. Norman is still crying about it. He never expected that.
Sometimes games and life meet, This was a matter of respect. Carolina's antics were because the Giants could have beaten them. They brought the game down to that level. from the beginning along with NO CALLS by the refs it was not football anymore so it came down to personal respect.
but odell constantly was beating him. just because odell played like crap doesn't mean Norman didn't either. odell got open, which is Normans job to prevent.
