Rashan Gary gonna go ? Shocked Notre Dame is not on his list
He is down to Michigan and Clemson. Michigan has been the front runner the entire time, but he took an official visit to Clemson this weekend and reports are he had a very good time.
But dear god it's a relief to finally have a reason to be optimistic about Hoos football again.
Hope springs eternal for us UVA alum. Remember that the basketball program was moribund until Bennett arrived. But it's still going to take a few years I think.
There are a lot of parallels between Bennett and Mendenhall. There's nothing flashy about either one of them. Both of them stress fundamentals, teamwork, effort and attitude, and have succeeded with less-heralded recruits who are hungry and hard-working.
I don't know if you ever go to the Sabre, but there have been several BYU fans who have posted on the football board in the past couple of months and talked a lot about Mendenhall. They said not to expect an overnight transformation, because he absolutely will sit more talented kids who aren't playing with maximum effort, especially early on as he's trying to change the program's identity and nature.
It's not a bad class, don't get me wrong. It's small, though that's to be expected with a new regime coming in from across the country. It lacks top-shelf talent, but as we saw with London that's not a guarantee of anything.
The recruiting will pick up when we start winning more than 4 or 5 games. And I'm really looking forward to Bronco bringing in some of those huge Polynesian linemen that BYU is known for.
Oh, that's rich, dep is going to cry about a kid committing to a school that only got involved in the last couple of weeks. How long was Michigan recruiting Stephen Spanellis? Oh, right, for a couple of weeks.
choice by Gary, if true. I wouldn't want to play for Harbaugh either if I had the choice.
Under the radar, but Gus Mahlzan is honoring the scholarship of someone who developed cancer after accepting an offer from Auburn. Good for him. We all know Harbaugh would have dropped him like he was a hot potato.

Come on now. Are we really comparing Spanellis to the consensus #1 recruit for 2 years now? Gary is one of the highest recruits in the last 10 years, and all of a sudden from nowhere a team comes in and gets him in 1 visit? He was between Michigan, Bama, Ole Miss, and Auburn for over a year now.
going to go under the radar, which is fine because it'll end up in the high 20s or low 30s, but Wisconsin had its best class in literally ever. 2 Army All Americans, depth across the board. So much for Chryst not being able to recruit.

The jealousy burns like no other. You wouldnt want to play for a guy with his track record of success.
My point remains. In both situations, a better program swooped in late....unless you want to tell me with a straight face that Clemson isn't the better program than Michigan at this time. Shit happens.
RE: of course I'm not comparing the two as players

I would be less disappointed if it was one of the three other teams mentioned since they have been in the picture the entire time.
And no Michigan isnt better than Clemson right now, but that could change as early as next year or the year after. Michigan is primed to have a huge year as long as O'Korn can produce at QB.
and I could say the same if Spanellis had ditched us for UMD or Cuse
hahaha...and I thought it was just Bailey. In any case, the natives are REALLY restless. The delusions of grandeur in the Vippy Sue fan base are just jawdropping. Even after being irrelevant nationally for at least five or six years, they still truly believe that they're some kind of powerhouse program that players are just dying to commit to.

Not really accurate. Bailey was certainly a disappointment. The others were players we were hoping we could flip from other schools. We were not expecting to get them.
However, we do fully expect to beat the Hoos yet again in 2016.

Of course you do, it's basically all Tek fans have left to cling to. Can't pretend to be relevant nationally in football, suck at pretty much every other sport - that streak is it for you, the sine qua non.
Unfortunately for you, you won't be facing the most incompetent fool to ever wear a headset on an FBS sideline anymore. You had enough trouble beating Bozo the Coach the last couple of years as it was. When Bronco breaks the streak, which will happen before too long whether its next year or two years from now or whenever, that's it for you. You'll have nothing left, not even the glories of late-era Beamer.
If Michigan lands Gary, Asiasi, Nordin, and Hill - it will be the #1 recruiting class in the nation. All depends on Gary.
That you turn in to solid players. NCST has a good program.

Good not great

I'm seeing a lot of three-star recruits, some optimistically three-star.

So they paid him more than Michigan was offering or already paid him. Not really a red flag.

Really liking their class so far. But then recruiting talent was never an issue, molding and motivating it while creating a winning team was.
His uncle lives near there. And Clemson wasnt in his top 4 until the last few weeks.
#harbaugh4prez
Hearing that from the Maryland people - Tech lost all 4 guys they thought they were getting today.
Yep, sexy time worked! Yea Harbaugh!
I already didn't like Harbaugh from his San Franciscio days. Add that to my dislike of Michigan, and it's a match made in heaven.

It's definitely a start. I think the U was 22nd overall? I think it will only improve given Richt's track record.

Most of the Big Ten and everyone who has a suit that fits correctly.

No red flags. Michigan just bought someone to convince him.
Standard operating procedure in college football.
