The number one overall recruit, defensive lineman Rashan Gary. Gary was the consensus number one overall recruit, fellow D-Lineman Jadeveon Clowney and Robert Nkemdiche were the only other consensus number one overall recruits since 2000. Thoughts?
and are almost as annoying as Notre Dame fans. My school didn't have football and I've always rooted for SU due to geography and Clemson because my cousin sat the bench there about 30 years ago.

The michigan fans who post here like robcarpenter, soz, kwhite, myself among others were frequent posters during the rich rod and brady hoke eras.... I am not sure how you can say we are just coming back when you registered 8 months ago.
The michigan fans who you have seen posted since your time here have been here awhile. that's mynpoint. are there few that come out of the woodwork? sure.... but the guys i mentioned and a few more I missed have been here posting about michigan for years.
It is obvious given the type of season Michigan had in Harbaugh's
first year plus the terrific recruiting class that's coming to Ann Arbor that Michigan is definitely relevant.
It is also obvious that Jon C despises Harbaugh and anything Michigan. Although he is a devoted and usually reliable source on BBI - - - his opinions regarding Michigan are definitely what is irrelevant.

Been a Michigan fan since Ali-Hagi and Jumbo Elliot.
Hey Greg, what did you want them to do, turn down.....
There was more Michigan talk in the down years than this year. College football threads werent very active this season. Dont know where all the frontrunners that are being brought up are.
I had family members that went to michigan in the 70's and my best friend was on lloyd carrs staff on the training staff. Good friends with lamarr woodley. Been a fan since a kid watching michigan on abc every saturday when that was all I could watch with no cable. Do I pass the test or should i be a st johns football fan since i went there?

Been a Michigan fan since Ali-Hagi and Jumbo Elliot.
Or, as we used to refer to him, Ali Haji Shank.
RE: RE: wouldn't stun me if less than half of the Harbaugh ballsuckers here
they can not officially announce his signing until he signs his letter. He will not officially sign the letter until he goes back to Paramus Catholic to sign the letter with his teammates.

But when they randomly choose a school 1000 miles from their home that they have no connection to at all? Yeah, that'll get you called out occasionally.

the point was made that it unusual to root for a team you have no ties to as an alum, I don't have a single tie to Syracuse
Just because you're doing it doesn't make it unusual.
And to further the point, you decided to root for Syracuse because they had all the best players. That's exactly the problem, and why some people can't stand the Michigan/ND/Alabama/etc. etc. Bandwagoners.

Thanks for the shout out.
I've been on this board for a while and I've been a Michigan fan since going to grad school there (graduated in 1998), I was at the 1998 Rose Bowl.
I get that some people hate Michigan. But the Michigan fans who post here are hardly fair weather fans.
Our recruiting class kicks serious ass. Can't wait for the MSU and OSU games next year.

Rutgers sucks, but they only need to get 1 or 2 of those guys a year to be more competitive. And as it is now, they're basically like a c-, not Indiana or anything. Flood wad a joke and they totally botched their first couple years in the b1g by keeping him, but I'm pretty optimistic for the future all things considered.
They've had bad breaks, bad coaches, and bad luck, and we have seen schools with less potential become solid year on year teams. If they can fight to be ranked throughout most of the year in most seasons, and have one magic season every ten years with a show at winning the big ten, I'll take it. Might take a decade to get to that point, but whatever.
no connection other than a family friend playing their in late 80s/early 90s.
Pretty sure that's a lock.

Now imagine if Harbaugh never coached the 49ers?
LOL.
It's more fair to say the rest of the Big 10 has been inside Rutgers. Violently.
Allegedly.
Rutgers was right - the Big 10 (repugnant as it is) definitely is a big draw for NJ high school talent. Just not in the way they had hoped.
At spiking the ball on 4th down.
My sincere apologies to Jon C.

I will happily show you my degree from the University of Michigan if any of you would like to see it.

You probably should. Bonafides should be required when discussing where teenagers decide to attend college.
Gary is SIGNED, SEALED, AND DELIVERED!
So people that didn't attend Division 1 schools or didn't have a close relative attend one aren't allowed to support a college football team?
So what is the mileage limit?
For me, CFB is different than the NFL where I root for the Giants and only the Giants.
Ernie Davis
Floyd Little
Geography had nothing to do with it

Apparently time didn't as well.
Floyd Little sealed the deal
What's your problem?

No problem. It's just that none of them have played for Syracuse in at least half a century.
Like saying I'm still a Giant fan because of Charlie Connerly.

Who are these Michigan bandwagoners on BBI?
#Bandwagoners
