"Director of Football Operations" is now vacant and Mara mentioned possibly asking TC to consider an advisory position on the day he retired. Maybe after the SB something will break. Or he will just go and enjoy his retirement and grand kids. We will see.
you're dumber than I originally thought, and that's saying a lot.
Well asshole just going by this statement here “Some sort of advisory capacity on the personnel side,” said Mara of considering Coughlin for a future front office role with the team. “Obviously we have a lot of holes to fill. I think he brings a unique perspective to that having coached a lot of these players, having coached against a lot of players in the league. I think he's always been a very good talent evaluator.” Made on the day he retired.

TMS, quick question: What does the Director of Football Operations do?
I don't think you understand what Matt Harriss did. This isn't the "advisory" position that Mara had in mind. Harriss was a cap specialist and involved in contract negotiations.
Do you think that's what Mara had in mind for Coughlin? Handling the money?
No but it creates a spot in the front office and duties can be reassigned. Director of football is pretty wide ranging. Parcels had a similar title In Miami and was involved in everything. Think they want his input and advice wherever it can help. Which is not a bad thing. IMO.
this is why I crap on you, it's because you post stuff that's devoid of fact and reason. Coughlin is not taking on that title for a variety of reasons. One, McAdoo is trying to establish himself, it's not easy with a man of Coughlin's magnitude casting a shadow. Two, a move like that would put friction in the front office. Just a dumb suggestion all around.

WTF don't you just butt out of other people posts to each other. You are a PEST on this board who should be banned. All you do is make personal attacks on other posters and and drive people away. Most do not even want to talk to you never mind argue with you.
You get so bitchy outside of your little safe space Â
The last TC article I'm seeing comes from SNY on 1/27/16:
Age is just a number to Tom Coughlin, who will likely coach again - ( New Window )
Unless you're looking for a lot of "clicks", more folks I suspect are thinking you are providing news, not asking for it.
(Just testing out my new thread title before starting my own thread.)
Haha
I could really see that happening.
And hemorrhoid free...
