his on-field persona, but I have not seen any indication that he has the toughness, mean streak, or mentality to play offensive line at the level I want to see from this team.

I think we need to move away from him. He hasn't demonstrated an ability to stay healthy and his performance when playing was not exemplary.

I look at production. The fact is Schwartz can't stay on the field, and the little time he has been on it as a Giant he has not provided a level of play worth his salary. Therefore its simple. Cut your losses and save 3 mill.

it's really strange for you to honestly think that Schwartz is milking an injury because your football posts tend to be well informed, if not insightful, and you seem like a long time fan. After all he was touted as a very good and very versitile offensive lineman when he came here and while he did play well this year he's been hurt more then he's been on the field. I did find his take on his brother coming here bizarre to say the least. Fuck him. I would hope the Giants would say the same and bring his brother to the Giants. They have the money and he was the top rated right tackle in all of football. Sorry Geoff.
