NFT: Verizon Wireless Users - Lost Phone Question

SethFromAstoria : 2/5/2016 1:38 am
Hey I either lost, misplaced, or got my phone stolen tonight and I'm curious if anyone has gone through this process and if you have any tips.

I'm going to ask Verizon to look for service to resume (battery is dead). I have Android Device Manager and the same things through Google and Verizon. I also have insurance and a deductable that makes me want to break the next phone just for fun.

Any other ideas of things I need to do or should do to help locate the phone or in any way make things easier for myself?

Thanks in advance
My wife lost or had her phone stolen a few weeks ago.

When it happened she used our daughter's phone to call it. Someone answered and then hung up.
She went straight to a Verizon store to get the lost/stolen phone shut down. She uses IPhone6. She uses wallet plus other credit card apps.
I think you should contact them right away.

Verizon actually was very understanding. She didn't have insurance but they still replaced it for free. She has been a customer of Verizon wireless since they began. They flipped around a few contract offers to get a new IPhone free for her.

They were very helpful.

I hope you have been backing your phone up on a daily basis. This allowed them to restore all contacts, emails etc.

Good luck but shut old phone ASAP

yeah thanks man. I have every security thing known to man. The battery had died, no one charged it or turned it on yet. I have insurance so i'll jus get a new one. I am amazed however that Verizon doesnt have any system that alets them if a device is turned on. How is that possible?
