Watching with a bunch of panthers fans, steelers fan to my left and cowboys fan to my right. I hope the panthers get clobbered but i'm keeping that to myself here.
Linebackers can and do make a difference. Miles Jack and Jaylon Smith can be two of those.
Jack would be a tough call for me. I get the interest. Great player and he tore a meniscus, not an ACL. But he missed the whole season, and I'm really loathe to use the #10 pick on such a player. But it's probably moot since he's not lucky to be available when we pick. Smith isn't even close. Great player again, but he did tear an ACL and MCL. No way I'd use the #10 pick on him.

It is what it is. Jack could easily be the best player available when we pick
Definitely need a LB or two on this team next year.
What happens when you have a great DC and the talent to go with it vs. an all world offensive talent. Defense still wins. Cam doesn't have an answer for it.
pretty down on the score as a whole considering on how the calls have went his far. Cam isn't having a great game but he's making them pay with his legs. They just need to stop the awful turnovers.
the "experts" get lulled in by big offensive performances against lesser defenses and expect the same to happen regardless of who a given offense lines up against
just in case anyone forgot, Denver showing once again that a pass rush neutralizes pretty much any offensive gameplan. punching Carolina in the mouth over and over
how versatile and awesome and next gen QB does ol' Cam look today?

To be fair, the non overturn on the challenge led directly to Denver's only TD. I think the score is right where it should be.

Cam will make enough plays to win.
I can't be the only one who's not understanding one word Chris Martin
I am sure some one will be mortally offended when I say that the show was very pepsi. And Bruno Mars set reminded me of Morris Day and the Time. But not as good
Coldplay didn't even play one full song, Bruno Mars was good but his song went too long and what the hell was Beyonc singing? Katy Perry was much better last year.
And the theme was "Believe in Love". Casting a wide net of positivity, even if not completely genuine.
My kids loved the show, and I thought the Coldplay/Mars portions were fine. The messaging at the end was a nice thought. So, it wasn't everyone's cup of tea. But it surely wasn't terrible.

Peyton might be the worst starting QB in Super Bowl history and laughed, because that's Peyton Manning. I'm thinking I was wrong and he was right. This 2015-16 Peyton Manning is beyond shot.
Won't stick his nose into a scrum in the biggest game of his or his teammates' life to possibly salvage a championship? Not an ideal message from the captain.
Cam Newton Struggles

No weapons against the top Defense is not good. They will shut everyone down and force Cam to do it all. Cam is going to look like a Matador tonight and Von and DeMarcus are going to be the Bulls, in this case Broncos. 20 to 17.
Not so much choke..but that miller and defense as a whole would've made any team pedestrian.
Too bad in my lifetime I never see giants have linebackers like in game tonight. Was fortunate to have seen the likes of banks, reasons, taylor, and carson.
That picture of them in the booth !!! So happy - they deserve all their success - just seem like nice people who love Football but can do without the celebrity that it brings .... or am I being naive?
Congratulations Peyton - Hollywood ending to a HOF career.

With only 2 timeouts. Even if they go 3 and out, on third down they'll run 40 seconds down. It's an odd choice. I know they were basically on the goal line, but don't you have to go for it there?

Rest of that is
You can add Brian Kelley, Pepper Johnson, and Brad Van Pelt to that list.
RE: take comfort in knowing that should Denver win or lose,
People complain all the time about how arena football offense ruins the game, and here we have an awesome defensive effort on both sides, and people complain
Who was a Maryland Terrapin who transferred to Florida to get away from Randy Edsall. Now he's a Super Bowl winner and Edsall just got a jock-washing job with the Lions.
who could possibly believe that...give him credit, he made all the right moves and earned it from a coaching standpoint. His biggest move was bringing Peyton back in Week 17 because he didn't think Osweiler could get them through the playoffs, and he was proven correct
To hire one of the most underrated defensive coordinators in NFL history and leave him alone and let him run the defense. I made fun of Wade when he was coach of Dallas, but I am happy for him. Wade's a decent guy and deserves a ring.
The camera and dialogue should be on Von Miller. Not Peyton manning.
Well, this is the end of his career. He deserves the attention. Von Miller will win MVP and he'll get some love too, but this is the last time we'll see Peyton on the field.

Get where you're coming from but there were too many flags and too many turnovers (not all of them due to good defense)and the commercial overload didn't help. The pace was too slow and the game never got a flow to it.

I agree. They wouldn't have been a fan of Parcells Giants
To me that looked like a guy trying to look good in front of the camera.
Exxxxxxxxactly.
That's the funny thing between him and Beckham. Beckham will be around for another decade. Norman is trying to soak it all up now hoping we remember him next year.
But he was just hoping around 5 minutes out giving high fives to Payton. This guy seeks the camera for attention. Like a whore.
Of course he is. He's a little whiny bitch that loves to talk and mug for the cameras until he's exposed.
He was almost benched in college because he wore white socks instead of the team mandated black socks and black cleats. Told his coach he, "Wanted to make a statement."
His coach told him to change his socks or, he wouldn't play.
The camera and dialogue should be on Von Miller. Not Peyton manning.
Seriously? It is the last game of his career .... where else were the cameras going to go?
I agree he wasn't that good tonight - nor the Bronco's offense as a whole. Seemed like they were playing not to lose (instead of playing to win) but, this game was the ending to his story. A great career.
Arrogance humbled. Cam's cowardice on that fumble will be tough to live down.
I'm not a big Cam guy, but to be fair, is it possible that he was misjudging a bounce of the ball when he jumped back?
I kind of wondered that too just because him being a chicken shit is just so unbelievable in that situation. Unfortunately, I think he did just avoid the pile.
That's it. He can spin anyway he wants. Nothing else makes sense. Even if I give him the benefit of the doubt and say that yes, he thought the ball was going to spin back at him, don't you think 9 out of 10 people would still jump into the pile anyway? The game, season, and championship are on the line in that moment.

My initial take was that he over ran the ball and couldn't get a good angle to dive on it, but he should have just belly flopped on it. Definitely some hesitation on his part regardless. At least we won't have to put up with endless Panthers bullshit now. Good riddance
That defense wins championships. The giants have to sign great defenders in free agency and have a mostly defensive draft. Time to bring big blue defense back to prominence.
I was hoping for a Denver win and Norman getting torched. I'll settle for a Denver win and Norman crying on the sidelines with the added bonus of Cam the Arrogant getting repeatedly crushef
But I thought before the game some of the Panthers players were wearing dinner jackets when the arrived at the stadium, even one one of the CBS commentators mentioned it. Do you think this was some sort of arrogant we are coming to feast message, When it comes to these clowns I would'nt doubt it.
if they start losing next year he will be the same shitty teammate he was in previous years throwing teammates under the bus "we dropped balls, we gave up sacks"
Did an amazing job of taking Olsen out of the game. He's Cam's security blanket and he was invisible in this game and you can be sure that Newton was looking for him.
Cam has always been a sore loser. Brilliant season from him, but his less than great accuracy came back to bite him in the big game. Still the man proved that he is without a doubt a Franchise QB this year. Well deserved MVP.
Happy for Peyton, arguably the best to ever lace them up.

Kuechly going for the strip and tackling the ball instead of stopping the runner. Had 3 guys, had he tackled him properly they would have stopped him.
NFC championship game wasn't a big stage?

Stood up Kuechly in the hole. Beastly

He just lost the okie dive, period.
You think! He loves his brother, but he's very competitive too.
Not so much choke..but that miller and defense as a whole would've made any team pedestrian.
Too bad in my lifetime I never see giants have linebackers like in game tonight. Was fortunate to have seen the likes of banks, reasons, taylor, and carson.
Congratulations Peyton - Hollywood ending to a HOF career.

Yup! Bahahahahahahahaha!!!!

as I've said, Cam will choke on the big stage..

Awwwww.
Arrogance humbled. Cam and that garbage can Norman can get fucked.
Have a nice flight home assholes.

You can add Brian Kelley, Pepper Johnson, and Brad Van Pelt to that list.
Repeat.
Awwwww.

It's not over yet. Didn't he do the superman pose while getting own out by the Giants? Don't put anything past him lol
Cam doesn't play offensive line.
Peyton gets to go out a champ
Well, this is the end of his career. He deserves the attention. Von Miller will win MVP and he'll get some love too, but this is the last time we'll see Peyton on the field.
To me that looked like a guy trying to look good in front of the camera.

Exxxxxxxxactly.
Super Bowl baby? Maybe?
Get where you're coming from but there were too many flags and too many turnovers (not all of them due to good defense)and the commercial overload didn't help. The pace was too slow and the game never got a flow to it.
But he was just hoping around 5 minutes out giving high fives to Payton. This guy seeks the camera for attention. Like a whore.
Feel the same way.
I agree. They wouldn't have been a fan of Parcells Giants
Time to make a gif. . .

That's the funny thing between him and Beckham. Beckham will be around for another decade. Norman is trying to soak it all up now hoping we remember him next year.
Starting, yes.

Love it.

Prima Donna bitch.
Seriously? It is the last game of his career .... where else were the cameras going to go?
I agree he wasn't that good tonight - nor the Bronco's offense as a whole. Seemed like they were playing not to lose (instead of playing to win) but, this game was the ending to his story. A great career.
I'm not a big Cam guy, but to be fair, is it possible that he was misjudging a bounce of the ball when he jumped back?
So much karmic justice. That carolina team was so damn unlikable.

Arrogance humbled. Cam's cowardice on that fumble will be tough to live down.

That is an outrageously generous take on it...
Kurt Warner is such a douche. Peyton managed the game.

I kind of wondered that too just because him being a chicken shit is just so unbelievable in that situation. Unfortunately, I think he did just avoid the pile.
And when you're on three anti-anxiety meds, tough to go unscripted.
Pat Bowlen.
Their owner Pat Bowlen - he has Alzheimer's and stepped back from the team awhile ago. I think he's had other health issues as well.
twice
for Moondawg
Has to be - that is twice he mentioned their brand.
Peyton owns a stake in two Anheuser-Busch distributors.

Was thinking the same thing.

they bought out the best local beer in AZ. Hope they don't ruin it.
lost in New York...to Seattle.

Starting, yes.
Not starting Earl Morrall played behind Johnny Unitas for the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V and behind Bob Griese and the 17-0 Miami Dolohins.
Jim McMahon started for the Bears and played behind Bret Favre and the Packers.
There are probably are others.

Jeff Rutledge hit the trifecta as a backup for the LA Rams, NY Giants, and the Washington Redskins.
Agree and said this during the game..
$$$
On the flip side, if he just answered one in detail about the game, it would've been easier to handle the crappy follow-ups.
Cam has always been a sore loser. Brilliant season from him, but his less than great accuracy came back to bite him in the big game. Still the man proved that he is without a doubt a Franchise QB this year. Well deserved MVP.
Happy for Peyton, arguably the best to ever lace them up.
