"Shit, I have to win another one now..."

Let's be fair.

That's obviously just a cardboard cutout of Eli.

He's not gonna celebrate prematurely and jinx it.

As far as Eli winning another one, well let's just see what we do on the D side in the off season.
Pretty weird

I'd been believing him all week, talking about him wanting to see Peyton go out a winner.

Now I have to win #3

Eli shows same expression during brother's touchdown.

I'm sure he was lying all week and he accidentally revealed his true feelings in that one moment.
he doesn't have to win anything

he still has 1 more SB MVP than Peyton.

NJGiantFan84 : 2/7/2016 11:35 pm : link
Cruz nailed the Eli expression.

It looked to me like Eli was relieved they scored and didn't blow it.
Eli was probably thinking....

"Okay, up 14 with 3 minutes to go. It's going to suck when our defense can't hold this lead."

during the game and everyone was talking about that Eli reaction and saying he's upset because now Peyton has two rings too. lol

Notice that Archie didn't have much of a reaction either. Both people who actually play the game were still nervous and knew the game wasn't over.

Besides, Eli is going to win a third ring.
this was after the 2-poiint

NJGiantFan84 : 2/8/2016 12:32 am : link
Is a Coors guy. He knew if Peyton made that 2 pt conversion and the team won, he would have to drink Budweiser In celebrationbecause after multiple shameless plugs, the Manning family would get a lifetime supply of the brew.

Blue21 : 2/8/2016 6:21 am : link
happy about the TD.....second reaction.....well that's Eli being Eli.
i don't think he's upset that he has to drink Bud

more likely he's upset that he'll be eating Papa John pizza at the post game party
I know its all fun

and funny but if anyone is serious here or anywhere that Eli is upset that Peyton won, they are insane.

Secondly, I really think it's as simple as him being nervous and then whether it seems stupid or not, I think he knows Peyton is retiring and realized its his last game and this was the end. I could see being upset aboyt that.

Media: Embellish the negative perception, be almost dismissive when the positive presents itself..

Cooper gritted his teeth, Archie was just there as expressionless as Eli. Maybe they don't celebrate when watching until its over. Such overblown nonsense.
I actually thought maybe it was a bittersweet moment
jcn56 : 2/8/2016 8:43 am : link
His brother was about to make his last pass as an NFL quarterback. That was basically the point where you knew for sure, Peyton was done.

Not that Eli is exactly the most emotional guy around, I'm still convinced he's a robot.
I liked my 11 year old son's reaction
Matt M. : 2/8/2016 8:50 am : link
First, he asked me why Eli wasn't celebrating. I joked and said Eli is probably upset he no longer has the most SB wins in the family. My son just says, "He'll win another one, probably more." When I counter that Eli probably doesn't have a lot of time left, maybe 5 years, he says, "That's plenty of time. He'll only be 40." I love the innocent optimism. His parting shot was, Eli still has more SB MVPs.
I thought it was great.
Ten Ton Hammer : 2/8/2016 8:54 am : link
He still has bragging rights though. Beating Brady twice is greater than beating Rex Grossman.

I was surprised by his (what I interpreted as) nervous response last night. But, wow! It's relentless this morning.
it was an odd expression
Stan in LA : 2/8/2016 11:03 am : link
Quite a contrast with Peyton's reaction in the stands when Eli was winning SB's.
It's February 8, 2016

And people are still spending energy trying to read Eli Manning's body language.
I would bet
Kuhn and Friends : 2/8/2016 11:39 am : link
that Eli is trolling the whole internet and doing that on purpose just to get the reaction it is getting.

To be fair, Peyton was enthused because Eli threw a game-winning touchdown against an undefeated team in the last seconds of the game. Going for 2 when the game has already been put out of reach isn't quite on the same level.
Does Eli

What's this one mean ?
Here's the thing
Maryland Giant : 2/8/2016 11:47 am : link
I was more openly enthused at that moment than Eli was. And that's odd. But then, that is what is great about Eli and one of the attributes that makes him the guy you want behind center with two minutes to go.

He's a weird dude. But I love him.
A weird dude?
Giants in 07 : 2/8/2016 11:51 am : link
Huh? So if you're an athlete that doesn't play into the hands of the media every time you're on camera, that makes you a weird dude?

How about he's just nervous for his brother who just threw his last pass in his career and is about to win a Super Bowl. What a weirdo! You can actually see how nervous he is with the moment he and his mother shared.

Everything has to be dissected.

RicFlair : 2/8/2016 11:53 am : link
You've never watched a game with the guy who's so into it they don't celebrate and are just super stressed or worried?

That's what it looked like to me.
.
RicFlair : 2/8/2016 11:55 am : link
That's essentially what I look like during every giants game until it's officially over.

I would not be surprised if Eli came out on fire next year.
Its also year three in the new system and WCO QBs usally excel in the third year when they can just react and paly fast. Please Jerry get Eli a professional TE.

Were cool and you could really get a taste of that persons personality by the way they walked up there. Tom Brady looks like he thinks he's the coolest guy in the room. Drew Brees just walks up like a boss. Aaron Rodgers is the cockiest guy there is. Eli was just blank with a derp wave and walk.

He's so low key which is weird for a great QB.
2 SB MVP's are still 2 SB MVP's. Peyton had as significant a role

SethFromAstoria : 2/9/2016 3:54 am : link
said that they watch each other's games the same way. They are always sitting there calculating and figuring out clock, down, plays to run, what is left before it's actually over etc. They "don't think the game is over until its really over".

Either way, Eli has to answer for this. Could keep him on the bubble for the Hall.
