I never get tired of watching that interview. Bavaro is, by far, my favorite Giant of all time. And with guys just in my lifetime like LT, Simms, Morris, Hampton, Banks, Eli, and on and on, that is saying something.
He was the best TE I've ever seen. He was an absolute beast at the point of attack. He could block a DE or LB one on one. And, the seam pass to him was one of the best weapons in Giants history. If he hadn't hurt his knee, he would be a lock for the HOF and possible GOAT.
When was that interview from? He still looked to be phenomenal shape.
Battling a "peak of him game" Bavaro in practice in the 1986 season I'm sure helped Banks throw the 49ers tight end (Russ Francis) around like a rag doll in the 1986 Divisional Round game.
