Elway actually committed to rebuilding and used high draft picks to get the likes of Von Miller. Reese signed a bunch of injured veterans and restructured his own injured vets, completing misjudging how far they were from a SB.
Elway also did not hold onto coaches way too long. Firing Fox was a bold move. No way Broncos win if they had stayed the course with Fox.
Gettleman was with the Giants in those SB years. Now, look at the talent Reese added to the defense. Since Gettleman left, Reese has cobbled together one of the shittiest defenses talent wise in the NFL, maybe the worst. So Reese has that feather in his cap.
Next season and for every season after that is all anyone will remember.

And losing a Superbowl is quite an accomplishment. I am not sure why it is getting knocked like it aome wnormous failure. The season is long and Carolina had a great one. Ill take their season over ours this year any time.
