What the fuck was that? I mean, really. While we're lamenting the Budweiser plug, how staged was that kiss? And how much did Peyton get paid for that?
Papa John is a media whore. A megalomaniac in the the same vein as Oprah Winfrey. Remember her magazine,'O'? It was Oprah on the veranda. Oprah on the beach. Oprah at the opera. Oprah getting backshots from Steadman. Fucking sickos. Cant just be rich, right? I have to be IN EVERY FUCKING COMMERCIAL, as well.
And does the one sided kiss mean Peyton is a friend of mine or a friend of ours? I thought two kisses was a friend of ours.
And Papa John looks likes a serious pedo. I get that vibe every time he says, 'Papa Jooooooohn'. Weirdo.
Hey, that is what pro sports is all about.

Rocco. You're Italian? Give us the dirt. Friend of mine or friend of ours?
At least tell me you say 'mootsarell'. If you say mozzarella, you fired and must turn in your IROC/Capezio card immediately.
The guy sold his '71 Z28 to start his own business in a closet. Spent untold millions to be affiliated with the NFL and he's from Indiana, Peyton's probably his favorite player.
He's the poster boy for Capitalism, the American Dream, how can you not like him? Just don't eat the pizza.

How can you not like him? The guys a smarmy douche.
I dont like Papa John because he's an absentee father
But I agree with the general consensus, Payton was already oversaturated wrt endorsements. This blatant shilling for Budweiser and Papa John's post game was absolutely ridiculous and quite embarrassing imo.
I do think the NFL should fine them, though - they have rules against that, and they're there for fairness to the other sponsors who paid good money through NFL channels to have their products advertised.
Where I really can't stand product placement? Movies/TV. And it's getting so blatant, in some shows you can't separate the ad from the content anymore.
classic MF
Can't stand Francessa, but this is gold.
The gist that was conveyed is that Papa John is actually a very nice guy. Always treated the people from my friend's company with respect... but he definitely is very, very odd.
Regarding him being a media whore... I mean, he owns a gigantic company and is on television for the most watched American event year after year. Of course he's gonna seek attention in that moment. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Producers are desperate for revenue. It's the price for having DVRs, piracy, etc.

There a plenty of reasons not to like him. Let's start with the way he treats employees, his attacks on the Affordable care Act, and, his product sucks. The NFL should be ashamed for maintaining an association with him.

left in non-playing time. A mention, a 'brought to you by IBM', etc., fine. When you start to see jerseys with corporate logos on them, we've gone too far.

Hey, it's their business, I can't blame 'em. Doesn't mean I have to like it. My point is just that it's more intrusive at that point than it is in sports, since most of the endorsement nonsense comes off the field.
The man is just using what he's earned over all these years of greatness. Earning Potential. Use it while you have it. Smart business on his part. And funny in a dry humor kind of way. He's having the last laugh to cap off an unparalleled NFL career.
