Not a sports site, but somewhat interesting as the long off season begins:
Patriots, Cowboys and Raiders are no surprise to me. Jet and Green Bay being so high is a surprise. Frankly, I'm surprised the Giants aren't among the top dozen, being from NY, Eli etc., but I'm glad regardless.
Who hates the Browns? Manziel? General incompetence?
Hotair Reader Survey: Patriots the favorite … villain - (
New Window )
And for context, I have no beef with the Bengals. Browns fans are schmucks.
Also, since the Cowboys training camp is about 30 miles from where I live and until very recently, no NFL team in the LA area, there are local Cowboys fans due to that.
I guess Dallas is #1 hated team for me. While I can't stand Brady and Kraft, once a Giant, always a Giant for me and Belichick. I wish he wasn't the coach of a Boston area team, but at least he's in the AFC. I don't like the Patriots, but the Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, 49ers, Packers, Panthers (thanks to this year), Raiders and Ravens would be ahead of them for me.
But lately this group of Panthers, especially Josh "Tears of a Clown" Norman, is getting on my last nerve.
Eagles are a close second, however.
Dislike Seattle, where ever Jeff Fischer is and 49ers (mildly).
AFC is irrelevant.
The Cowboys bother me a bit, but it's not even close to the Eagles.
The Redskins are cute.
On the flip side, am I the only non-Pats fan Tom Brady fan? I think the guy is awesome. Root for him every chance I get that he isn't facing a Manning.
2. Cowboys
2a. Eagles
3. Cowboys
others..
I went to one Giant-Raiders game (Raiders home game in the LA Coliseum) in the 1980s. Never felt so unsafe at a game. Later that year, some Raider fans threw a guy in a Steelers jersey down a flight of concrete steps, giving him a skull fracture.
I'd suspect the fans are a big part of why the Raiders made the top ten.
Outside the division, I find the Colts loathsome. The Irsay family is the worst.
Eagles may just beat out the Cowboys as least favorite, probably because the Giants have been their bitches lately. That and I went to school near Philadelphia. I haven't been able to generate a deep hatred for the Skins since the 70s.
Ha. Yes. Yes yes yes and yes.
a lot of time on your hands at work?
Eagles are the #1 hated though by a long shot....a distant second is the Cowboys, then Ravens

It took literally 20 seconds. But by all means, keep on yelling at clouds...
I know, I know. I'm a racist.
Rams, probably Fisher thing
Saints
Ravens
49ers
Vikings
Sea Hawks
Falcons
Dolphins
Raiders
This was actually an interesting activity. I just looked at the teams and measured my dislike. Probably an unusual list.
The hate for the Pats is crazy to me.
The hate for the Pats is crazy to me.
Sit in a bar with 200 massholes every week and you'll get it.
Eagles
Redskins
Pats
Jets
I'd just replace the Panthers with the Ravens.
3 Patriots
4 Redskins
Recently the Panthers have moved into #5
I used to detest the 49ers. I'm indifferent these days.
I've always been annoyed by the Dolphins. Not a hatred thing, but their uniforms and dumb Dolphin helmets annoy me.
Also, am I the only one who detests Aaron Rodgers? I never had anything against the Packers, but my hatred for Rodgers is steadily growing. He acts like a prick, his dickish demeanor is starting to remind me of Brady.
And for context, I have no beef with the Bengals. Browns fans are schmucks.
I also live in Columbus, and my experience is browns fans know they are bad and just kinda get mad and joke about their team...and bengals fans are dicks...just my experience tho.
Outside the NFCE its Patriots hands down.
It would be an exaggeration to say that I would root for ISIS against the Eagles... but not much of one.
A distant second is Dallas. After Dallas comes the Niners. Then some arrangement of the Vikings, Ravens and Rams.
Someone asked me once who I root for when the Eagles play Dallas. I said, "injuries."
9ers
Ravens

Just imagine if you lived here...and were the only Giants fan in your family. My hatred for the Eagles is nearly indescribable. It's the kind of hate I imagine you would feel towards someone who committed a violent crime against a family member.
You're calling people idiots because they hate the wrong teams?
It's simple man, I was taught that you kill each other when you play against each other but root for the division when eliminated, then root for the NFL vs the AFL which morphed into the NFC vs the AFC. I had to make an exception with Dallas when Jimmy Johnson got there because as Notre Dame fans we hate Miami more than Disco.
The Eagles and Redskins have never embarrassed us in the playoffs and Super Bowl like the 49ers and the Ravens.
Barring two one and done playoff appearances they've largely been irrelevant since Crystal Pepsi was on store shelves. The Giants have by and large had their number for quite some time now as well. I think that's why, DC area BBIers notwithstanding, you usually see the Skins ranked behind the Eagles and Cowboys when this topic comes up. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Skins. But it's more of a nuisance hate, the way you hate mosquitos or sitting in traffic. Do they irritate you and get on your nerves? Absolutely. But they rarely ruin your day.
To be honest, and I generally avoid blanket statements, I think the most annoying aspect of the Skins are their fans. In my experience they have more blind homers incapable of objectively looking at their team than the other division teams. Remember that group of tailgaters that called themselves the Dead Teee Crew? Worst group of fans ever. Ever. Regardless of the sport or team in question. Worst. Fans. Ever.
I actually like Tom Brady (still think he's the Gold Standard in NFL QBs), but Bilichick and Ernie Adams running their "skunk works" cheating machine makes it easy to not like them.
I'm surprised at the Jets hate, but I guess all the pathetic bravado and noise gets tiring after a while.

It's going overboard to call someone an idiot over it, but the idea of rooting for the division once the Giants are eliminated from contention is completely foreign to me and makes very little sense. When the Giants are eliminated my focus immediately goes to hoping whoever is left standing crashes and burns.
I mean, really, were you hoping the Skins went on a Super Bowl run? You don't shudder at the thought of Snyder hoisting the Lombardy Trophy? God, I feel like I ahave to take a shower just for typing that...

it's not too bad for me in the Lehigh Valley... it's a melting pot.
Next door is a Giants fan, the other direction a Redskins fan... an Eagles fan and Steelers fan across the street and Patriots fan down the block.
Exactly, and those are the people I live around and work with every day. That team will always sit atop my list.
