It's going to be an interesting combine for Shak.
Remember he was originally at Ohio St. he's not some fall through the cracks/late development prospect that ended up at Eastern Kentucy.
according to the Advisory Board the #1 CB is Eli Apple (8.3) with Ramsey (8.0) #2. Hargreaves, Alexander and desmond King also receiving 1st round grades (tied @7.2)
Tre'Davious white also in the mix. fuller round 2
The one exception to the agreement is that McShay drops Myles Jack to 11, while CBS drops Hargreaves to 14.
The suspense is going to be: which (if any) of the top 8 consensus picks drops to the Giants. And whether the Giants take that player -- or draft for DL need.
but if there is a QB at 10, LA Rams are a perfect trade partner. Trade down to 16 (still take Shaq Lawson et al) and pick up a 2nd rounder which LA got in the Bradford trade

Uh, isn't King going back to school - White as well?
So would I, but it isn't what Reese does.
Here is our easy 3 step plan to the playoffs in 2016:
Drop Randle. Draft Coleman. Spend big in FA on defense.
Hargreaves is the package but built more slight than NYG tends to prefer. I don't think they'd pass on him unless a DL is in the mix.
When has Reese ever traded down in rd 1? He won't unless some team offers the farm, which they won't.
If Reese is going to be graded by Giants ownership on the 1st round pick outcome he may just go RB and take Elliott.
There are a lot of question marks for every defensive player projected available at 10.

In terms of "wow factor", I tend to agree with you. I'm not crazy about any of the DL projected around 10 or Hargreaves. I also don't see a WR there unless someone blows up the Combine.
I dunno... outside of the QB's, everyone on that list plays a position we need help in. I'm not familiar enough with each player to know how well they'd fit our scheme, but I have to think we'll have a #10-worthy grade on quite a few of them.
Hmmm... that's a very good point. Few positions are as likely to contribute tangibly as a rookie as an upper-tier RB.

ramsey may be overrated right now.

yes, they are but they still rec'd advisory grades
Gotta expect, as JonC says, that CB, DE and WR are Reese's preferred positions, so if there's gold there when 10 comes up, Reese will go that way.

i could see Elliot
