Awesome B. Papa pod/interview w/ David Diehl (W. Mara story)

FranknWeezer : 2/9/2016 4:42 pm
I heard this today for the first time during a workout and had to come back and tell BBI about it. Will make you an even bigger fan of our 11-year Giant than you were before. Talks about both of our SB teams, how they were different, etc. Discusses how the '08 team was the best team he ever played on, and he lays out how the road to the SB should've played out (or could've, I guess), but for the Plaxico incident (don't misunderstand me...he wasn't whining).

But the best story is at 11:26. If you listen to nothing else, be sure you listen to that 5 minute clip of him discussing the circumstances of his Dad passing away the night before the biggest preseason game of his life, when he was a 5th round OL trying to hang on to a roster spot...how the team handled telling him and a special interaction with Wellington Mara.

Made me even prouder to be a Giant fan.

Enjoy.

especially the part you noted. Thanks for posting.
Guess that's why so many Giants have so much loyalty

The whole "once a Giant" thing. Just a great story.
We are the fans of

the greatest damn franchise in football. From top to bottom, we have pride, heart, compassion, tradition. I could never ever be a fan of another team after experiencing forty years of this one.

Just my two cents.
