let's hope so.
What seems like a load of CAP money to spend will only go so far, especially when we figure in costs at DE and CB, and also figure in available talent in FA.
If you are expecting Hart to take over the starting role and sit on your ass then you are setting yourself up for failure. Never settle. Always improve. They need bodies to compete for the position. If Hart WINS the job then fantastic. If he is GIVEN the job then watch out.
It suggests he'll take Schwartz's place in competing at RG
They think he can the best Offensive lineman in the league. He clearly has potential and my source also said that i was lying have no source close in the Giants Organization.
I don't think the Giants are relying on Hart, and I'm not sure how high they are on him at this point. Against the Vikings Hart filled in for Newhouse, and he did not play well at all. Then in the game against Philly when Reynolds got hurt they brought in Gettis instead of Hart. So, it would appear that by the end of the year Hart was behind Pugh, Schwartz, Jerry, Reynolds, and Gettis at guard.
In his first few times out he was reasonably effective, but his technique didn't look great to me, and he didn't look strong enough. Hopefully he puts in a lot of work in the off-season and makes significant strides in both areas. I don't think there is any chance the Giants are penciling him in as a starter anywhere on the line at this point.
Newhouse was brought here on the recommendation of McAdoo, so you better not assume that Newhouse is losing his job at all, that is what is pretty clear here. Obviously McAdoo likes him. The position that I think hart now has a chance at winning more then RT is RG. Let us all hope that the Giants bring in a starting tackle so that Newhouse can be what he needs to be, a backup.
Newhouse gets a lot of abuse around here, but he really wasn't that bad most of the year. Certainly you want your starting right tackle to be better than him. But for a backup he played decently, outside of a couple bad games.
Hart was not as good as Newhouse overall, and his game against the Vikings was very bad. I hope he improves, he has a long way to go.
Hart was underwhelming last year. He may develop into a serviceable player.
First the Giants have to find out what position he will play. Is he a guard or a right tackle.
I think that it would be a mistake to rely on Hart as a starter, but he could be a backup at both right guard and right tackle.
To much disruption to know. I'll say this, he wasn't a complete embarrassment. The Giants have to develop some of these late round picks. Hopefully he is one of them.
I thought Dallas Reynolds played very well last year, I expect him to be resigned.
Man we have so many moves we can make before camp it's great we don't have to rush or overspend. I'm only worried that JR may get the candy in the window stare and overspend on mediocre talent because he has money in his pocket. The difference this year is we know we have many problems some we can fix this year some will only be resolved in time.

Admittedly completely stupid and childish but this made me laugh.
They really don't have to do an extensive search. I can steer them to all the FARTs they'll ever need.

Hart is much cheaper younger and healthier
doesn't mean much his best spot still may be on the bench.
No he wasnt
