Morris Claiborne

Andy in Boston : 2/10/2016 9:47 pm
Call me crazy .... I Ike him as a bargain CB. Had his best year this year .... Played 15 games. I think he's a classic story of a guy who struggled early on in the NFL adjusting and with injuries... But I think he could still be a good pro. He's a UFA. Thoughts?
Doubt it happens

Under-performed and some of that is based on health.

I'd set sights a little higher, Josh Robinson
I think

Claiborne can play .... The talent is there.
Maybe he can be a Spags reclamation project

ala Corey Webster.

Talent is there.
I would much rather him

than Prince. He has the instincts to play the position. Change of scenery would help.
He's done nothing.

Corey Webster struggled his first few years with the G-men. IMO, if the price is right, he would be a good pick-up for the nickle/dime role; and then let him earn his way
Perfect example of why the "Reese signed too many injured players"
BillT : 2/11/2016 8:17 am : link
Is a bunch of nonsense. Because in the NFL, and even the draft somewhat, there just aren't that many guys without an injury history. If you only signed guys with no injury history, you'd have almost no one to sign especially as FA. First it was Trevathan around here, now Claiborn. It's all a crap shoot even signing guys with no injury history (see: Baas, Kevin or Snee, Chris)
Didn't he tear his patella

Just like Cruz and couldn't finish last season. On the cheap only.
we are going to need 2 CB's minnimum
ECham : 2/11/2016 10:04 am : link
one league average starter (or better) oppisite DRC and then a 3/4th corner to compete with Wade et al.

Im fine if we bring him in as a 4th corner
Trumaine Johnson

is my choice if Prince is to walk. 6-2 , 205 lbs & had 7 ints last year 26 years old and has been steadily improving in every aspect of his game.

Brandon Boykin would be by choice for the nickle spot, played very well with the Steelers at the position.
