possible this is not just some substance he doesnt realize is bad? How can someone be a level of dumb that would have you in a state of vegetable?
Seth, somehow I doubt he mistakenly took horse steroids . Equipoise, also known as Boldenone Undecylenate or EQ, is a veterinarian steroid developed by CIBA, to be a form of long-acting injectable dianabol. The intended use was in the horse and cattle industry. In general, EQ comes in an oil suspension that can be injected into animals every 6 weeks. There are no legitimate version of boldenone undecylenate approved by any government anywhere in the world for human use. All of the Equipoise on the market is either from approved veterinarian labs or made in an underground laboratories meant for the black market. Even though it is meant as veterinarian steroid, boldenone is quite powerful when used by humans.
twice you would think you keep your nose clean from then on. He can still earn money by pitching internationally elsewhere but yeah lost his chance to earn money in the best baseball league in the world
himself a career and millions. Even if the truth was he truly SUCKED without them, the Mets would have been on the hook for roughly 1 million once he returned. Let's say he pocketed that million but looked bad.... he STILL likely finds a deal at minimum next year. He cost himself millions. Moron.
He's gonna be throwing pitches in some mexican league hellhole
to actually get these substances and use them, how could you not understand the level of dumb you have to be to give up a life like he could have. With friends advising you and everything,
Has to always lead back to some kind of mental illness in my opinion. No one is so out of it that they do this rationally
if this had happened 1 week earlier. I'd imagine they wouldn't have gone multi-year for him under any circumstance, but now there's a pretty good amount of pressure on Reed & Robles. I was always a little surprised they tendered Reed in the first place and without Mejia I kind of wish they'd have spent that $ on Clippard. I know he's hardly pitched in the last 12 months but I still trusted Mejia the most out of those 4 righties so this really stings.
After listening to Shecky's remarks about how he works incredibly hard and LOVES being a Met this is really shocking. Could have been a nice late season edition. Fuck him. Wow.

That said, Clippard still sucks. Lol
He does work hard.
a) he works hard at taking substances
b) he works hard because of substances.
Clippard not coming back sucks. Hopefully will not pay for that one
This one almost has to be a mistake right? Like something he didn't know was illegal and MLB has been watching him like a hawk testing him constantly? Aderol or something?? How could anyone purposely put a steroid in their body a third time after what happened last year unless they had some kind of mental disability? This is unbelievable.
Oh well. One extra spot late in the year for a Smoker type or outside addition assuming we even need it.
I said we can depend on Mejia? Lol. Go fuck yourself.
Now Now, do you want to go search the archives?
Go for it douche. Show me where I said the Mets can and are depending on Mejia? Lol. Being cautiously optimistic he might have learned his lesson and be a intriguing late season addition is a far cry from saying the 2016 Mets can depend on Mejia when he was already suspended for 4 months? GTFO with that shit. Makes zero sense. Mejia always had talent. Two bad he apparently has some sort of brain damage apparently.
Meisner was barely a top

20 prospect last year. Yes he was an interesting young arm but you don't think twice about trading a 18-25 prospect in the heat of a pennant race for a guy who was a good closer on his team. I agree Mejia let us down but the Mefs believe in him and I think he's goiing to have learned his lesson this year.
And that's just it though. You can't build the perfect team. The bullpen is especially volatile. For all we know a guy like Bastardo sucks or an O Day gets injured or a Bastardo gets busted for PEDs. Who the hell knows? It's how you react and adjust over a long season that matters.
I mean, sort of. But not really. They would have been without him this season anyway, and did just fine without him last season. Would he have been a nice addition to the pen? Of course, but it's not the end of the world.

Thanks for backing me up Deej. Exactly what I said. Thinking he may have learned his lesson is a FAR cry from saying the Mets are depending on Mejia in 2016.
Twice wouldn't learn their lesson? Even A-Rod and Braun apparently learned. A third time in less than a year total has to be one of the most shockingly dumb sports stories in its history.

Jenrry Mejia tests positive for Boldenone, "his third performance-enhancing substance violation," MLB announces.
Adios stupido. Rapidamente.

MLB suspensions are honored by affiliated leagues in other countries, such as in Japan, South Korea and Mexico....
So he's essentially banned from the world. lol
He wasn't on the 40.
Carlos Torres was better than Clippard last year. Actually twice as good. Fact.

it was just a horse steroid joke.
