This guy doesn't give a shit about if Peyton did or didn't do something. He only cares about how the reactions to an allegation made 13 fucking years ago compare to public perception of Cam Newton.
My question is this: Who gives a flying fuck about Cam Newton?
But the source document was written by her lawyer and the article by a reporter looking for a story. And if the info was so damning, why did she settle. Like to hear the other side.
That being said take a look at the other articles this guy has wrote.he is a one trick pony, if it does not deal with racism he does not write about it. So he started researching this article after poor Cam got lit up for acting like a 3 yr old after the Super Bowl. It was of course because he was black it happened not because he acted like a petulant child.
This isn't news, story has been out for a while. I've always been surprised that it never gained any traction because if a player did this in 2016, it would be all over the place. Hell, if a different player did this, the story would have probably gotten a second life, so the article has merit. But it's hardly the shocking expose the writer is making it out to be.
Peyton's first instinct when winning the super bowl is to start ripping off plugs to Budweiser and papa john. Between that and his demeanor, it's not hard to get a read that the guy can be a dick to some people.
I don't know if this article is racially motivated or not. It could be an attempt by someone described in Wikipedia as a civil rights activist and who is the 'senior justice writer' for the Daily News, to discredit Manning after the opposing black qb in Super Bowl 50 looked like a jerk. The timing makes this suspicious. It could also be completely coincidental.
Lets wait and see what the other side to the story is.
Peyton Manning assaulted a trainer. The woman lost her position and it ultimately cost his school a ton of money.
He then shamelessly lied about it in the book with Archie, which cost his victim standing again and she came back after him this time, so he settled with her.
That this stayed so under the radar for so long is evidence of how ridiculous the media dick sucking and idolization of this guy has been. Boo hoo if it's coming more to the forefront now because someone wants to point out something about Cam's treatment or ride off Denver's SB win. It should have been part of the story of Peyton Manning all along.
the story has been told a million times. It crops up every couple of years from people that want to paint an unfavorable portrait of Peyton.
The 64 page report that the writer refers to appears to be a complaint against the University for a long stream of slights and transgressions. The part about Peyton is a minor part.
Naughright also sued Peyton for defamation later after her career turned south at a second school.
She has since sued Donna Karen, the designer, and a company she owned, when she was an employee there for an injury she received from an "eastern massage therapist". Supposedly he "fractured and dislocated Naughright's jaw, causing damage to her hearing and balance, and the treatments caused a spinal fusion which has required a bone graft in Naughright's neck," That suit was dismissed by the judge. She subsequently sued the trainer. Not sure how that turned out.
So three employers, three lawsuits. Seems like an interesting woman.

Isn't that largely covered in the piece? The Mannings wrote a book about the incident, presumably putting their side of the story there, then got eviscerated by the judge when trying to get the resulting defamation case turfed out, then they ended up settling.
Lied about being black when his parents are both white. Also a discredited BLM spokesperson and Daily KOs columnist. Shows how far left the Daily News has gone hiring this scumbag. Racist motives of course.
But this reporter recently wrote something in that if you criticized Cam Newton, you were racist. So there's an agenda - his last two columns before this were: White privilege manifests in more than sports, music and Super Bowl 50 highlights racial double standard in NFL
Not to demean this story, but it's been written about and is still linked to in every recent Big Lead post about Peyton Manning. In fact, this guy was tweeting as if he was breaking news, and the Big Lead tweeted back that they covered this in 2014.
That's not to say the mainstream sports media hasn't protected Manning, Nantz basically admitted to it.
Lied about being black when his parents are both white. Also a discredited BLM spokesperson and Daily KOs columnist. Shows how far left the Daily News has gone hiring this scumbag. Racist motives of course.
because I never saw or heard of this story before. I am curious to know how much is true. The third lawsuit, with Donna Karan, really is irrelevant. But, the other two, if this story is true, are valid wrongful termination suits. Likewise, what compelled Manning to violate a non-disclosure agreement and why hasn't that brought more to the public light?
Regardless of whether any of this is true or to what degree, the author of the article is a moron and race baiter trying to make a name for himself. This has 0 to do with Cam Newton and the criticism of Newton's behavior has 0 to do with race.
Lied about being black when his parents are both white. Also a discredited BLM spokesperson and Daily KOs columnist. Shows how far left the Daily News has gone hiring this scumbag. Racist motives of course.
Its like David Duke writing an article about Cam Newton. You don't even read it because the author is a racist.
to give Peyton the beneit of the doubt, but this story and the coverup have always been a skeleton in his closet.
That said, I wish we were more nuanced with our language. To me "sexual assault" implies that Peyton touched the trainer in appropriate places and I think many people connect it with rape. While what Peyton allegedly did was inappropriate and punishable, it doesn't seem like there was any sexual motivation behind it.
Not to miller, but I find it similar to my disdain for using the term "rape" to describe two drunk people who had sex and couldn't consent because of the connotation rape has with the use of force and intimidation and/or violence.
I also liken it to how any time an athlete tests positive for any banned substance, they are quickly labeled as using the broad "PEDs" or steroids.
The author's expression of shock is strange. The issue is what you do with it. I've never thought all that highly of Peyton as a person, in part because of this. What he did was disturbing, what he did to her thereafter is too.

They filed for dismissal of the suit and were denied. That's standard legal practice. The question should be if this was such egregious behavior by Peyton, why did she settle and not get a verdict that would have publicly exposed this incident and Peyton.

Paul - if this story is true she was a constant victin of sexual harrassment at the school and, yes, what Peyton did was sexual assault.
Also, rape does not have to be violent or intimidating. Having sex with someone who says no is rape. Having sex with someone who is not in a state to consent (piss drunk, passed out, sleeping, etc.) is rape. Likewise, there certainly are more violent rape incidents.
The one term/category I have a problem with is statutory rape when both parties are underage. This is by default applied only to the male involved, which is sexist. If both consented, then technically both committed the crime. Of course, when one is an adult, then that is a different story.

Kill the messenger!
This isn't killing the messenger. It's pointing out it's a very agenda driven piece written by a very agenda driven writer. The whole "revelations about Peyton" perspective betrays this as it's an old story as has been pointed out here.
Fact that he releases one sides argument without the other clearly tells me he has an agenda. This is a document submitted to the court by one side, not a document written by the court. He never mentions the ruling, the settlement amounts or why criminal charges were never filed.
This may have happened and may be damning, but it needs to be written by someone who hasn't been doing everything he can to bring down the perception of the "classy QB" for the last week with his decense of Newton and articles about racial double standards. I have no problem with those articles alone, or this one alone, but combined it shows me a writer with an agenda.
I will wait to hear all of the facts of the case, from an unbiased writer before I choose a side. Unfortunately, all the Bromley's, Duka Lacrosse, Rolling Stone frat situations leave me skeptical. And I hate thinking like this because its not fair to the actual victims.
Add in fame and millions of dollars coming your way soon it's not hard to see how something like this could happen. And like any other person on earth he's going to fucking lie about it.
That doesnt mean that Peyton Manning is defined by that act. Peyton might be an asshole. He also might be a really good guy who did something stupid when he was young. There is no way for us to know.
King is a piece of shit. He'd be out of a job if race wasnt an issue in the world.
Headhunter said, and I quote " your 10 year old son should be fucked in the ass by a 10 inch dick" to me a month ago today with Kulish29 agreeing with him and several witnesses present including Rob in Ct and Bill2. Rob actually lectured him on his "style" of posting for 20 minutes after the statement.
You're in no position to be calling out anyone for being a sexual deviant you asshole.
This is old news, it's common knowledge Peyton was a major asshole in college, ate with a silver spoon didn't have to answer to anyone except his father. The privileged life, unfair if you're not the fortunate son.

So King is the one who's a piece of shit?
Absolutely. Pointing out racism and double standards makes you a worse racist than the ones doing the racism or benefiting unfairly.
Remember Al Sharpton is a worse human being than Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi and the only racists are black people who need to shut up and be happy they're stealing money from hard working, smarter white people.
He's a white guy pretending to be black who only writes about what he perceives to be racist. His Twitter world is half truths and outright lies, for example he reported Klan activity on college campuses over the summer. Shame on the Daily News for giving him a venue to spew his hate. Worse it's hypocritical of them given their staunch gun control position. King was canned from his job at Moorehouse for brandishing a gun and has tweeted about keeping his gun clipboard with hollow points. Wonderful behavior for an self described activist for black lives given the scourge of gun violence in the black community.

I read this as Peyton being an idiot in college but I don't think it was done to force a sexual act I think it was more about him thinking that would be funny (he was wrong). He didn't pin down the woman and force himself or attempt a rape.
That being said, it is still sexual assault, which isn't ok.
Luckily for the woman, in the face of this heinous act, she was compensated to the tune of $300,000.00 by UT. In accordance with the settlement they both signed a silence agreement. Peyton breached it in his book, so she got ANOTHER settlement, which is the correct thing to do.
I don't know what she or the author of the article wants. Does she want Peyton blackballed from the NFL because he put his balls on her head for a second in 1996?
She was clearly wronged, and was compensated for it. That's how the world works- make a mistake and pay up. Does she want a public shaming in Times Square or something?
As an aside, I'd let Peyton put his balls on my head for 300,000 in a Louisiana minute.
Separate and apart from the incident (which was never a secret)
The Facebook Pastor. When this guy opens up the books to reveal where all of the money went dating back to his Hatiian home relief fund and countless other charities, I'll take what he says about other's integrity seriously. Until then, this guy is about the last person who should be lecturing about transparency and truth.
Btw, that was the LONGEST article I have ever read..:)
My question is this: Who gives a flying fuck about Cam Newton?
People just didn't care and/or ignored it for whatever reasons.
What does this have to do with Cam?
Why were there court documents in Polk County, Florida? I missed something.
Timing makes it suspect.
Shitty if true.
Peyton's first instinct when winning the super bowl is to start ripping off plugs to Budweiser and papa john. Between that and his demeanor, it's not hard to get a read that the guy can be a dick to some people.
I can't let this pass - I am on to you Barilko - you are a fine one for casting stones - pervert
My God your posts are horrendous.
Lets wait and see what the other side to the story is.

His treatment of the trainer was disgusting. He couldn't let it go. I have no respect for Peyton. He's no Eli, that's for sure.

What was wrong with his post? Seems like a fair opinion to have?
