NFT: Changing Wireless Providers

I'm 90% sure I'm leaving AT& T.

Just recently did a thorough review of the family bills, and while the quality of the service has been good (probably better than good), there just seem to be significantly cheaper options out there (to the tune of almost $100/month cheaper in some cases)

One additional element that I'm weighing - the other carriers are willing to buy out the existing installment payments on our phones (both of them are 1st gen 64GB iPhone 6). I have approximately $150 worth of payment remaining on each. If you take the buyout offers from the new carriers, they take the phones.

It seems to me that it might be smarter to forego the buyout offers, pay the phones off myself, and sell them. Does anyone know approximately what I can get for a 64GB 1st Gen iPhone 6 and or where I should expect to get the best offer?

Also, any other anecdotal advice on what carriers people have been happy or displeased with would be equally appreciated.

you can trade it into amazon

and probably get around 250 for each, you would get a gift card but it's a pretty easy process if you regularly shop at amazon and have prime it would make sense
Thanks, Mook

Certainly sounds like an option.

Any experiences with other providers?

Verizon to sprint.

Lasted just over a year on Sprint and went back to Verizon. The difference between the two in reception, especially in rural areas, was huge. I've never dropped a call with Verizon, while my wife and I were having multiple dropped calls per day on Sprint
