Remember that when you see how fragile other QBs are.
I remember the Eagles gave him a huge shot when he was rookie.
Who can forget the shots he took in SF in that championship game.
Remember that when you start to think about his future replacement.

Eli did everything but walk on water that season.
Umm, started watching football 15 years ago, at the most?
If Jacobs had picked up the block and given Eli time to throw, I think Ramses likely would have had a preseason TD. Could have given a few more red zone opportunities and changed his entire career.

they all hate how fragile Tony Romo is, and I'm convinced it's because he never really learned to take a hit.
I've seen Eli hit much harder than Romo or at least similarly hard and Eli just lands differently - not with all his weight and the defenders weight always on his body in a harmful way.
Tiki also talked about it, learning later in his career at least, about how to manage contact and using angles to avoid injury.
Eli might be the best QB I've seen at it, after some of the vicious games he's been in (like the Championship game in SF) or some of the Eagles games the past few seasons it highlights the differences between Eli and someone like Romo in how they take a hit.

Those two plays from the 9ers game both end in completions to Ahmad Bradshaw - another one of the toughest Giants ever...
Those are the guys and plays that win championships...
Eli is great at it, truly great. He simply relaxes when whacked hard. He's a much better athlete, in subtle less reckonizable ways, than folks give him credit for.

Isn't it great?
Given how atrocious the 2013 line was, it was amazing that he made it all the way to the last game of that season before getting knocked out.
Maybe it did. we'll never know. Because he's tough. McAdoo also hinted recently that Eli has played thru "some things".

2) It's amazing to think as durable as Eli has been, he has more than 7 seasons to match Favre. He says he wants to play at least 5 more years. Who knows?!
Of what's been documented, we know that Eli dealt with a significant shoulder injury week 1 in 07 @ Dallas that should have kept him out 6-8 weeks. he could barely throw throw during the next week's prep for GB but his toughness went a long way to changing the dynamic of what turned out to be a championship season. The funny thing about this injury was all the flak Mortenson caught for reporting that timetable, but given the injury, he wasnt wrong about the expected recovery time. In hindsight, Eli's toughness made Mort look bad.
The other issue we knew about was the plantar fascia that he dealt with in 09 and just so happens to hurt like a bitch, but again he missed no time.
As others have mentioned, in some cases with specifics, you can bet there has been a variety of other that have popped up over the course of 12 seasons and yet every week #10 is under center starting for the New York Football Giants.
San Francisco really roughed him up in the title game. The Eagles on a few occasions, not only his first appearance but also the 30-24 comeback game with Plax in OT. The Eagles really beat the shit out him that afternoon, which made the comeback all the more impressive.
It helps to have alittle luck on your side as well, like when his ankle injury in the rain against the Skins (that happened to need surgery) occurred on the last week of what was a lost season anyway.
But as others have mentioned, that 2011 season was something special....he carried that team, especially in the fourth quarter......and he did that with, lack of a running game, and an OL, that at times, was porous......
The stats that season, were not as high as others......but there is no denying, his leadership, led that team to a championship......three guys were considered the top candidates for the MVP....Brees, Brady, and Rodgers.....he faced two of them and beat them both.....
He has had better stats the last two seasons, but 2011 was just magical, and in my opinion, his greatest season....

Forgot about that one. I believe there were also rumors that the elbow injury he took in the 2005 preseason was worse than reported.
When someone's own father ends up wrong, what are you going to do? You shouldn't be mocked forever for it.
No you didnt.

Thomas heard it independently from Virginia Halas McCaskey when she was lunching with Sir Topham Hatt.
