He was loud and inconsistent but a total gamer and obvious leader in the locker room. Tuck was mentioned above and I love Tuck, but we don't win that Super Bowl in 2011 without Trel acting like a team captain while Tuck was sulking.

i guess we're really doing 2000-2010 in which case i'd say Brandon Jacobs watching him crush landry and others was awesome. i hoped we would draft him and man was watching him fun
based on the 2011 NFC Championship Game alone. Probably the most physical game of the Coughlin era, and those two were the toughest on the field that day.
Corey Webster. Steve Smith was also awesome. Plax was money. Amani Toomer one of the all time great Giants. So glad I dont need to mention Tiki Asshole Barber, or Shockey, as good as he was, horrible attitude. Strahan worthy of his HOF induction. Osi and Tuck, huge Giants. Even Steve Alford and Reggie McKenzie, who handled Aaron Kampman quite well. David Diehl was as blue as blue gets. Ohara, Snee, and Seubert, how can they not be mentioned? The great Victor Cruz's story has not been written yet. Amahd Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs? Even Derek Ward. So many god players. Antonio Pierce, and even guys that should have stayed longer like Kawika Mitchell and Martellus Bennett. On and on and on and on.
I think Jacobs bled blue. And I loved watching him pick up the blitz. Linebackers would come snarling across the line of scrimmage expecting to intimate some over-matched running back and they'd run into Jacobs and the intimidator became the intimidated.
In sixty years of watching the Giants only Bavaro came close to Brandon as a favorite.
Along with other guys like Snee and Suebert, he brought some serious attitude and toughness back to our offense. BJ running over Charles Woodson in the ice may be my favorite play in the last 10 years. Of course, Eli to Tyree, Plax, and Manningham kind of go without saying at the top of that list.
IMO he was the emotional leader of the team, and really did his part to set the tone for the rest of the game. I still remember the game against GB where he cleaned Charles Woodson's clock, and he was pretty timid the rest of the game.
I liked Ward, but what if he never got hurt in 2007 vs Chicago? I knew something was special about Bradshaw and I was dying to see him on the field, the 88 yard TD run vs Buffalo in week 16 proved my point. Brandon Jacobs and Bradshaw combo made Route 9 a happy huck....
how manningham is treated on this board by many. The guy had flaws but pre-injury the guy was a flat out burner and stud #3 wideout who if I recall correctly had a td in every playoff game in 2011 including huge catches vs san fran and of course the patriots.
Tyree
There are others I love, but they're a step below.
+1
If we are including coaches then I would go with Coughlin as my second choice after Eli as well.
Good call Antrel would make my short list as well
Or when he kicked the Eagles' kickers' butt when that fool came over to "intimidate" the Giants sideline with his Karate crap ?
So many great moments !

Oh, and he hates the Cowboys as much as we do.
Jacobs
Tuck
Snee
Cruz
Manning ham
Nicks
Bradshaw
But a couple of guys (other than Eli) that were "gamers" for the Giants that I really enjoyed watching them bring it were Jacobs, Nicks and now OBJ.
