aka the Warriors coronation begins tomorrow. I dont see too many upsets in the first round, maybe the Pacers over the Raptors, because the 3, 4, 5, 6 and seeds are all very even.

News to note. I have been mentioning for months now that the ideal person to coach the TWolves is Thibs because he has the pieces of a great defensive team with Rubio/Towns/Dieng. If he could mold Lavine and Wiggins, its just the ideal spot, and rumors are he is their number 1 choice. It almost makes too much sense. If they can win a top 2 selection in the lottery and somehow get Simmons or Ingram..... watch out. I think that will be a good match for both parties involved.

Actually you can move your feet. You are allowed to move forward and backwards, but not sideways. I would think jumping is ok as long as its not to the side.

As far as the no-called, it actually benefitted SA due to the got a steal immediately. However, the most erroneous call was Ibaka literally holding Aldridge preventing him from getting the offensive rebound. You can literally see Aldridge's jersey being pulled around and preventing him from getting the ball.

This series will go 6 maybe even 7 games because the playoffs have been a dud and they need reason for people to watch it. The East playoffs blow. The West were filled with nothing but duds and GS will take care of Portland easily.
alright, time

for the raptors to break their string of game 1 losses by beating the heat tonight!!! it will be a tough challenge, but I think lowry is due to break his shooting slump and playing his former teammate/rival dragic may give an extra dose of motivation.
5 missed calls in the last 13 seconds
dep026 : 5/3/2016 5:04 pm : link
1. Waiters forearm.
2. Mills holding Adams before inbound pass.
3. Leonard holding Westbrook before inbound pass.
4. Ginobili stepping on the sideline before inbound pass.
5. Ibaka fouling Aldridge on his shot attempt.

IMO, all 3 referees should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs. Inexcusable to miss that many calls.

lowry played like crap again - he hit that miracle buzzer beater to get the game to overtime, but he and derozan were outplayed by wade and dragic. something is definitely still wrong with his elbow.
Cavs with 22 threes

You could say basically any team in the NBA would be favorites to win the title if they consistently got like 75 points from threes in a game, even the Knicks

Go on ESPN. The Cavs Page and Find Lebron Clip saying he has never faced Dwade in the playoffs lol. It is going to be Cavs Heat.

As for Cavs being the Favorites that won't happen they are beating up on weaklings. Heat Will Challenge the Cavs and make them struggle and Golden State will be waiting in the Finals gaining all the hype.

So who do you guys think wins the finals GSW or Cavs?

I don't disagree - I think it'll be Heat Cavs too, but I wouldn't go and say it was a bold prediction saying they'd meet next round when they both already have leads in their respective series.
KD and Russ
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 5/8/2016 9:18 pm : link
6-21 shooting with 5 turnovers in the 1st half

Only down 8 though, which you'd take given the combined performances of their two stars.

These 2 guys need to step up. These are the types of games that turn superstars into legends, OKC needs them and they need them now.
Okc will never win a championship with this team
nygiants16 : 5/8/2016 9:47 pm : link
They just have to many stupid selfish players who kill any momentum with their chucking and turnovers...

And even with the cap jump they have no cap space to add to this team, matching that offer to kanter was stupid in my opinion
Kevin Durant 29pt 2nd half

Absolute monster performance.

Best of 3.
Oh boy
santacruzom : 5/9/2016 10:49 pm : link
Bad call on Draymond Green for getting knocked over by the opponent's off arm, a weird offensive foul against GS when there was no evident contact, a non call when Plumlee shoves him down from behind when a shot is in the air... this feels like a Warriors road game.

This crew may be the worst in the NBA, I don't know how they get a playoff game...

Westbrook and Durant have literally screamed in the faces of the officials and they just laugh it off and wall away...

How Adams does not foul out after every game is beyond me
Refs did mess up on that call
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 5/10/2016 10:33 pm : link
But the Spurs simply choked this one away. Westbrooks energy at the end was key.

Really hope this one goes 7.

what should have been a shot clock violation turned into a runout for Westbrook
Pop
dep026 : 5/10/2016 10:56 pm : link
Had a bad minute as well. Two possesiins to tie or take the lead and he goes with pick and roll with parker and duncan.

Leonard and Aldridge never touched the ball and he had 3 timeouts left.
I'd blame Parker more for those possessions than Pop.
shockeyisthebest8056 : 5/10/2016 11:25 pm : link
Thunder got lucky twice late with the call on Green and the non-call with Westbrook and Leonard.

Give the Thunder a shitload of credit for killing the offensive glass late in the game. I don't think I've ever seen a guard be more of a threat to get an extra possession AFTER he shoots than Westbrook. Even after all those injuries, his athleticism and energy are freakish.
Lets see if the NBA has any balls
dep026 : 5/11/2016 9:28 am : link
and suspends Adams for a game. That trip is as intentional as it gets and could lead to an injury as well.
Why do NBA officials have to interfere with great games?
Andy in Halifax : 5/11/2016 9:39 am : link
Holy fuck that was awful. How on earth do you not call the foul on Leonard? There were dozens of missed calls in that game imo and it took away from two great teams slugging it out. It was a great game in spite of the officials and they definitely tainted it imo.

I found the Spurs offensive execution in the second half to be poor - lacked the ball movement they are famous for and the only guy driving the offense was Leonard. Aldridge had a terrible night imo and West had no business being in the game. He really hurt the Spurs by getting out worked on rebounds and a really selfish foul on a free throw because he was lazy. His defense was very poor as well. When the Spurs had a chance to expand the lead from 8 he really cost them and allowed some easy points to get momentum back eto Ok.

Also, if LA hits the couple easy looks he had late in the game looks a lot different. That was the difference along with the calls going against the Spurs late (that trip sequence was just brutal officiating)
Hate to admit it but I've been more intrigued with the NHL playoffs

I never saw this happening. Just awesome from OKC.

You just know KD and Russ are angrier at curry than anyone else in the league. GS is too complete but when they have their A game, OKC is a beast.

I hope the Spurs come back.
And yes
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 5/12/2016 9:52 pm : link
The refs fucked the Spurs this series.

But OKC has been better
The problem is the Spurs offense
Aspano! : 5/12/2016 9:56 pm : link
Just completely dysfunctional. Yea, there were issues with the defense, but if they're functioning as normal on offense then they're only down 6 at the half.
Gotta root for GS

Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 5/12/2016 10:01 pm : link

I'd definitely pull for OKC over GSW.

I'm already sick of the Warriors. They're just going to roll the Cavs again.. OKC/CLE would be a better Finals, IMO.

is telling Duncan, Manu, Parker, West and Diaw to hit the road. They are all done even though Parker is much younger. He is not a starting PG in the league anymore.
That's an overreaction
Aspano! : 5/12/2016 10:08 pm : link
The only one of them who gets paid entirely too much is Parker, and his contract isn't even that bad. They just need an upgrade athletically in the backcourt.

This team won 67 games.

Duncan was worthless these playoffs. Diaw didnt even play. Manu is old and slow. West sucks. They need to build around Kawhi and Aldridge. I dont care how many games they won, the older crew looked like terrible against these guys.
They are not going to be able to get rid of
nygiants16 : 5/12/2016 10:25 pm : link
Diaw or parker, diaw is owed 7 million next year, parker has 14.5 then 15 the following year...

This us their team for the next couple of years minus Duncan and ginobli
duncan

had a chance to make this interesting but a brick jumper and a blocked layup leading to a dunk makes the game 13 instead of 7.
the Spurs

had one of the best regular seasons in NBA history.

Also, I think Duncan is battling a bad knee injury which has caused him to struggle terribly this series.

What a dumb statement. Never mind that Spurs aren't playing Duncan or Diaw, it's a close game with Kawhi shooting horrible.

Sgcrts was right on, it was a dumb statement. They couldnt even beat the Thunder. I am sure they would have had a much easier time with the best regular season team ever!!!

NBA is top heavy.

GS: 1-3
OKC: 4-6 (including playoffs)
LAC: 2-1
Cleveland: 1-1

So against the top 4 teams in the NBA, they were 8-11. Not impressive when you break it down.
ehh
PaulBlakeTSU : 5/12/2016 10:56 pm : link
small samples, and Pop didn't play his stars in all of those games.

They went 40-1 at home with the lone loss to the team that broke the wins record. They also had a better point differential when you adjust for total points scored in games vis a vis the Warriors.

The Spurs were fantastic this season. They weren't flawless, but they were historically great.

Their problem was they do not match up with either GS or OKC. If they were in the east, they would be the favorites to get to the finals. But their lack of athleticism, outside Leonard, really cost them against a much younger, explosive OKC. Not saying OKC is thast much better - but the more the series took place, the less of an upset it became.
