What I've heard.....

I know I promised I would pop in with what I have been told and a few people have been asking for the info.

My understanding is that the target is really Myles Jack unless someone unexpected falls. Don't be surprised if there is even a small move to 7 or 8 if he is still there.

The Giants believe that in terms of non-qb's there are 4 guys that they would be LOVE to grab in the draft and think internally that one of these 4 is going to be there. Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack, and Buckner. If those 4 are gone things become muddy.

Bosa is expected to tumble down to the mid teens on draft day because of the partying issue, and the Giants are in the group of teams not interested at 10. Some teams don't even have him on their first round board but as we know it only takes one team...

Paxton Lynch is a lock to go top 10 at this point and won't get past the Niners and Browns.

The wildcard is Leonard Floyd. One of my two contacts says he isn't even in the conversation and the other says he would be the consolation prize for the Giants if they missed out on their big 4.

Stanley isn't really on the Giants radar as the Giants don't really want to move Flowers and Stanley isn't playing RT.

If Jack, Tunsil, Ramsey, Buckner, and Floyd are all gone then the next thought would probably be Treadwell. No other WR is in the convo at 10, nor is Elliot.

With my luck the Giants will draft someone else and I'll have egg all over my face but this is just what I am hearing.

It sounds like the Giants are willing to give up the farm to get Jack, an injured player for a team that lead the league in injuries the last two years. Ridiculous. Reese of course won�t even entertain the idea of trading down, even if his big four are gone.

Thanks for sharing. What I'd heard was the belief still points to Floyd as the prospect most likely still available when NYG is on the clock. They expect VH to be gone. If Floyd's gone, they'd probably pick Conklin. I'd heard at one point Jack earned a very high grade. Hope to share more on draft night.

I have no issue with focusing on the Big 4 non-QBs although Ramsey and Tunsil are pipe dreams IMO, neither will make it passed 4 or 5.

Jack, Floyd or Buckner would all be really welcome additions as far as I'm concerned.

So what do we need to get one of our guys?

3 QBs plus Tunsil, Ramsey, Elliott and Hargreaves/Bosa.

If this is the thinking I am 100% on board. The prize is really one of those 4 guys (assuming Jack's knee is good). I would even be ok with a small upward move to secure one of those 4.

Funny that much of what you said mskes sense:

Stanley is Beatty......the talk made little sense to me. Do they see Tunsil as a RT? Or just too good to pass up

Bosa is a little surprising.....

Love the 3 QB going in top 10.......but not exactly Eli, Rivers and big ben

Was told there wasn't any scuttlebutt connecting him to the Giants. Could be a tight ship or could just be the Giants have him ranked below guys like Floyd and others. I'm thinking it's the latter and Hargreaves gets to the Giants only in a trade down situation in the mid teens where the Giants likely slot his value.

I'm thinking this is the year we trade up

Interesting how they like Tunsil but not Stanley. While I do agree that Tunsil can play both LT and RT and Stanley is really a LT only, Tunsil would be much better suited at LT.

four guys who aren't projected to be there so they'll end up with Floyd by default because of it. Makes me really hope that one of them slides. Also kind of surprising they aren't mentioning Hargreaves at all since they do need more depth there.

No way Raanan and Graziano are getting played like that. They both nailed Flowers last year and nailed it when no one was even mentioning him.

Boy I'd be surprised if that happens. I don't know how Dallas a team that's lost Gregory, Lawrence and Hardy can let a defensive lineman like Bosa slide by.

I have no information but I believe they want Flowers at LT first and foremost, unless an elite LT prospect comes around... Like Tunsil?

I cannot believe how surprised I am that Jack seems to be their guy. Guess I've been beaten into submission about LBs in the 1st round. I would hate to give up a 3rd to move to #7 (about a 200 pt difference to go from 10 to 7).

Surprised that they are "concerned" about Bosa's party issues especially if he makes it to #10.

If we don't go CB in rd.1 .. I don't see how we get around it in round 2 if what has been intimated about DRC is true. IF we go BPA in rd. 1, we are going CB/OL in rd 2.

I don't see a scenario where Jack falls past the Jaguars unless they trade up for Ramsey. However, the Jags are the one team that just annoyingly is In the way and they'll probably take Jack,

Honestly, any of those guys would make our team better. I'm hoping Elliott and Lawson jump up into the top group, and I can see Dallas going RB with their first pick.

I still think Leonard Floyd is a reach at 10 and I'm not convinced he fits our system very well. But he's a better pass rusher than I am, so I'll just STFU.

Don't rule out Shaq Lawson if he is still around. I doubt he is in play at 10 but his name was mentioned specifically by both sources as someone the Giants do like a lot. Maybe a trade back up into the late 1st if he is there?
