I've heard this for years, ever since I started reading BBI in 1999. Although I never understood it, since I love my remote control and TV too much to risk damaging\destroying either item.
Has anyone here on BBI ever been so upset with a Giants selection that they actually have thrown their remotes at their TV? If so, what selection did the Giant make that caused you to do so and did you actually damage your TV?
Its like the people who scream and yell I never saw this guy play he sucks!

I have never understood it either.
There is never a safe play, the entire draft is a crapshoot
But I'll be very unhappy if we take skinny Leonard "no position" Floyd or Myles "I sure hope my knee holds out until I get a monster contract" Jack.
Pick a healthy player with no injury to worry about and who fits an exact position and excelled at that position in college

Roberto Aguayo meets your definition. Doesn't mean I want him at #10
I remember when the Jarrod Bunch selection was announced, Mel Kiper said "After drafting Bunch to join Rodney Hamption, the Giants have their backfield set for the next 10 years!"
Mind you this was pre-NFL free agency era, my initial reaction was, would either of those RBs be able to last 10 years?
Somewhere, at least one remote will be thrown.
Inside info: Thrill Ride will never throw his remote. Because all his technology is voice-activated. Upper 1%, absolute savage move.
I prefer a tradedown..
I was never one to read too much into the draft and nitpick what type of players are going to be in the draft in January, it's fun but whoever the Giants pick, the Giants pick. My guesses are never right anyway so what do I know. I like watching games more than anything on TV but he NFL Draft is my favorite non-game event. Look at the "Pre-2014 Draft Odell" thread, when someone searches and finds the thread 2 years later in the archives, you can now tease and poke fun at "BBI legend" chris r for his assumption on Odell before he even played a down in the NFL. Then again....I'm never right on who the Giants take! Just endless banter.
BBI FTW on down time!
I REALLY wanted Britt over Nicks in 09 also... I think I threw my remote, but I was at Rutgers at the time so I was biased.
with the 10th pick in the nfl draft the giants select paxton lynch qb memphis
I take my Giants and Mets too seriously but have softened with age. Mostly just a curse word now. It's just a game and it took me 50 years to learn that. Although a Giants win still does wonders for my morale for the week.
Let me clarify, I understand the thought, discussion and concern. What I don't understand is the anger, remote throwing and generalized "I know better then the Giants Scouts" theme I read on BBI every year. Every year people are hot on their opinions on the players and draft and we get it wrong way more then we get it right.
