if it ends up panning out. I'm just not sure why any organization would take any actions that could let a beat reporter or otherwise figure out what is going on.
i am okay with floyd but trading up for him noooo. if it goes

Don't think Baltimore would be willing to give up the option to draft Ramsey, unless they are blown away with an offer... I pray they trade down
titans at 15 need a RT, they take conklin. they dont want to move lewan, conklin makes a ton of sense, dont be surprised if they trade up to 8 with cleveland to take him
Miami if Elliott falls to us... Titans if there is an OT they are really interested in... Another team for Lynch... Houston for WR (they need to get their new QB toy another weapon)
Continue the same old processes... If they trade up, I'm gonna flip shit... Unless it's for Ramsey or Tunsil
If Floyd is the guy they want and have rated highest then you fucking go and get that guy , trade up / trade down / stay ....I don't care but get the guy you want
I don't think he's a top 10 talent. I'd be really pissed if they trade
Was Flowers THIS obvious as far out of the draft as Floyd has been (if we take him) ?
I don't really remember, I know the day of it sounded pretty certain we were taking him but it seems like we've been hearing about Floyd for a really long time.
I still would like to know how you have it locked the Giants have to have Leonard Floyd? Because we need LBs and we have a relatively early pick and he is a relatively early LB expected to be picked...whoa, stop the presses...

Arc, not like this. A few days before he draft rumors were coming out that the Giants liked Flowers- the rest of the world had him going in the 20's so it really was a departure. The whole world knew it had to be O-Line, but people were debating Scherff v Peat, etc.
Tampa has been linked to Floyd for weeks as well. So have the Bears.. Players get linked to teams all the time.. Elliot has been linked to the Cowboys for MONTHS.. Miami apparently has the hots for Elliot as well...

Yes. And I don't get the amazement by Eric and others. This isn't 1966. Where sources have to rush to a pay phone outside to alert a newspaper columnist. Now a days some janitorial engineer can talk to his wrist watch to send text message.
So if they want him, they probably will have to trade up.
Which I think they might do. Somebody in another thread said that if Floyd is gone, it will be Conklin and Fackrell.
I was the one to mention that. I heard plan A was Floyd but they wouldn't trade up for him. And plan B was Conklin at 10 and Fackrell in the 2nd round. I'd actually prefer the latter. I'd rather solidify the line while getting a poor man's Floyd in Fackrell.

I don't think it was. Speculation seemed to see-saw between Scherff and Flowers.
We used to be good at keeping draft secrets. It does seem like everyone knows. As far as Floyd, I hate the pick because it is a luxury selection. Floyd is a linebacker who can't really play the position. As in tackle. As a pass rushing end, he is, as Mayock stated, "underpowered". Yeah, he is explosive, and he could be something off the edge. But we need players, and more importantly, we need fighters. I was down on the Flowers kid last year and said some things about the PERSON that I regret. As a player, he is what I expected, unrefined, and still a question mark to some degree. He looks promising though. As a person, he is an A+ in the sense that he brings toughness and attitude that has been lacking around here for a long time. That is why I would prefer Conklin. Two nasty bookends could really transform this team. Go defense the rest of the way if you have too, but at 10, I hope it is Conklin.
I still would like to know how you have it locked the Giants have to have Leonard Floyd? Because we need LBs and we have a relatively early pick and he is a relatively early LB expected to be picked...whoa, stop the presses...
And if so, so what that its leaked?
What difference does it make...
Why leak that Jack is off their board? Why not give the impression they stil are interested in Jack? Sends a signal to the rest of the teams and moves Floyd up other team's boards. This all is crazy.
to wind up with the Giants. Speed/Quickness=Impact player matched up with Beckham and Cruz? Dynamic combination. Is it our most critical need? It's up there. That's too high by almost everybody's viewpoint. But he is going be a excellent player. Conklin or Floyd would not be a remote thrower, but U would not run around in circles.
I've been saying the same thing to a friend of mine. I started paying attention to the draft in 2000. I've never seen a pick that is this obvious. I'd be happy with Floyd, but it's so obvious it seems like bullshit.

And everybody will just believe it AND act on it to hurt us? You really think if you are the GM of another team that is what you finally rely upon to go make a move...that would be crazy.
And even if they did, so what? We move onto the next guy and we are harmed how? You think we are losing the next Lawrence Taylor?

The whole point is just to say nothing, if you really want that player. The whole thing stinks like rotten fish.
I don't recall anyone having him top 15. Giants were the first team t be linked to him and now supposedly he is a lock for top 10.
So, I would say the Giants were ahead of the curve on this guy. But I don't know if I would trade up for him. A lot of good DL available. I'd rather have them trade back

So any astute observer can predict choices
So any astute observer can predict choices
Not to the level of certainty that we had last year with Flowers and potentially this year
So any astute observer can predict choices
Exactly , pretty sure the other teams with large media markets have the same issue

Sounds great but who is there worth giving up picks for?

The writers have had Flloyd for months.

Lynch.
I think he meant who would be there that the Giants would be interested in...
Treadwell, Coleman, Decker, Apple, Jackson III, Lawson, Nkemdiche all sound good in a trade down scenario

The beauty of draft week, I guess.
Tomorrow night can't get here soon enough.
Might be something to all this but it hasn't been a consistent thing. Prince was a surprise because he dropped to us...Who called us drafting JPP?
If we draft Floyd what's the problem? The only issue I see is if someone moves up to take him before us. Even then, next player on the board right?

People posting here are the ones who contact me. You're hearing what I'm hearing.
Exactly. Guy belongs in the twenties.
The team is in need of depth, not that "one great player away" nonsense that a tradeup would indicate.
Hang tight at 10, and see if someone falls to them, if not try to move down....safest pick is Conklin, if big talents are gone.

I also don't remember ereck flowers being mentioned as often as sherff and some others last year. Again some serious revisionism going on.
