Trade down and get more value from a rather mediocre draft. The Giants need talent and there is no singular talent at 10 and given their position as a team that would remotely rule out that decision.
John,
Thanks for your kind words, I think you seeing what your seeing. Nothing wrong with that but I have looked at film of Floyd before they move him to the MLB position. You are correct when he played the MLB position all of what you said is correct. If you catch him playing on the line of scrimage as a OLB or OLB/DE in a 3/4 that's when you see his potential. Getting off the line of scrimage, bending and making sacks and stringing running plays out shedding and making tackles. I do agree with you, I don't think he's a fit for the Giants defense. In fact when the Giants drafted Mathias Kiwanuka I felt the same way. He was never a fit for the Giants defense and he never became the impact player I thought he would become because he played off the line.
I think Reese looks at Floyd and thinks he will be very much like Kiwanuka and I think he is right and Floyd playing the same position o(Off The line of Scrimage) will have less impact like Mathias had.
I think you are right, not in your evaluation of Floyd's play and potential but in the fact that Floyd is not a fit for your defense. He has to play on the line as a OLB/DE in a 3/4 defense and not off the line as a OLB in a 4/3 defense.

would be a great compliment to OBJ.
Conklin would be a great add to a young and up and coming O-Line.
Floyd is intriguing in that he is projected to be a very good edge rusher in the NFL.
The Giants are going to get a good player folks, EE is the dark horse.
Floyd, Conklin, Treadwell or Elliott will be a Giant tonight.
Perhaps the most sane post of the day thus far.
According to Draftek.coms 2016 Trade Chart
#10 1300 pts. Giants 4th #109 76pts
#13 1150 pts. Dolphins 3rd #73 225pts
One point difference
#15 1050 pts.
Titans 3rd #64 270 pts (1st of 3rd rd.)
1300 from Giants & 1320 from Titans. Pretty close.
If we have to give them our 6th, thats 17.6 points.
The Treadwell guys will like this. Im one of them, or an offensive one for #1, at least.
Shyster, that makes Floyd the easy pick. Do you think they'd go Elliot instead? Or maybe Jack, like Limerickguy says?
Yes, that's the significance of the "who else?", as in: no need to even print the name. Wouldn't be my pick, even in that scenario, but I have to presume the Giants would get his name up there promptly.
I have a nephew who was born in Massachusetts, grew up in Michigan and New Jersey, and is a Seattle Seahawks fan.
Why? My brother-in-law is a Notre Dame alum, so, as a kid my nephew would watch the ND games with him. ND's QB at the time was Rick Mirer, and he became my nephew's favorite player. When Mirer got drafted by Seattle, my nephew "followed" him there. Even though Mirer was a disappointment, my nephew's allegiance to the Seahawks never wavered. Happy to say he was at MetLife when they won their first Super Bowl.
RE: How would MSG have that info and not the national media
Would've been curious to see teams scrambling if Carson Wentz was there at 2 prior to Eagles trade. Saints love him, Cowboys do, too. Alas.
Def a MILF... Agreed

I wondered when somebody was going to post that.
It's going to tough for him when the Giants draft him and he learns BBI has definitively confirmed Beckham's straightness. He will be devastated.

I agree except for Floyd. He's boom or bust in our system.
Sounds like there could be a slew of potential trades tonight with teams on the clock. Could be a fun night in Chicago.

Nauseating the NFL sucks, love football but this league sucks.
We all keep gobbling it up though. I wanted Elliot, but after that outfit what the heck. This is supposed tbe a football.
