I hate waiting for the evening for the draft to start

Eric from BBI : Admin : 4/28/2016 10:19 am
I miss the old days...

12 rounds
Saturday and Sunday - just during the day
Then you hate coproations

making millions of dollars off advertisements!

I am with you though.
no Eric the old days were Tuesdays

from 9 until about 5 on TV
I'm fine with the 7 rounds
mrvax : 4/28/2016 10:23 am : link
makes the UDFA's more attractive.

3 days with only round 1 tonight is no fun.
Me too Eric

My buddy moved to Florida and for a couple of years I went down to visit him and we drank beers all day while watching all 7 rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
I like this format.

Even though the marathon weekend was nostalgic, at this stage of my life I can't justify spending 18 hours of a weekend in front of the TV. Getting the important part of the draft completed by the weekend is really nice, then Saturday I'm playing with house money. If I'm free, I can park myself on the couch all day, but if I'm pulled away, I don't feel like I missed anything significant.
yet another in a long, long list of shitty Goodell decisions

Dude makes Gary Bettman look good in comparison.
Agree - LOVED the Sat/Sun format

Miss those days
I'm with you, Eric...

... I fell in love with the draft when it was a Sat/Sun thing. Especially that day 1, Saturday afternoon, don't have to work (or study for) tomorrow feeling.

You can sleep in. Pick up some food. Whatever. And then the draft is in the background all day.

A couple years in a row my bud's and I got together and grilled out in backyard. We'd alternate from watching the draft, to cooking and eating, to drinking beer, to maybe playing a game or two of croquet or whatever. It was perfect.

Now I fall asleep sometime in the middle of the first round, and can't really focus on or savor the experience.

Such is life... {sigh}
Does it start at 7 or 8

I like it on Thursday evening better than all day Saturday

Too many conflicts to watch it on a Saturday.
I'm in for the old format
Rocky369 : 4/28/2016 10:31 am : link
Get to pick 10 and then I assume I have nothing more to watch for tonight. Used to be a day long event over the grill.

I never watch anyway

I follow the draft tracker on my phone and then check for detailed info on the Giants picks. I can't stand the talking heads.

I'm all for doing it on a Tuesday morning
aquidneck : 4/28/2016 10:36 am : link
All 7 rounds. Teams limited to 3 minutes to make picks.

I'm not so much for good TV ratings over several days, more for instant gratification and getting my shit done early.
So that puts the Giants on the clock
Jimmy Googs : 4/28/2016 10:39 am : link
around 9:30pm?
Agreed.

Wish it was on Saturday and Sunday. But it’s about money.
I like the first round in prime time
Ben in Tampa : 4/28/2016 10:45 am : link
but I wish the rest of the draft was all day Saturday

totally agree would order large pizza Mushroom,Peperoni and Hamburger. Also small Roast beef grinder heated and would watch start to finish with a friend of mine. Wife was not a big fan :)
The good news
santacruzom : 4/28/2016 11:16 am : link
Is that the modern era Giants won't leave you waiting too far into the draft for their pick!

Saturday Draft Day Parties were the best!
GMen23 : 4/28/2016 11:49 am : link
It was the best day of the off season.
I like it. Doesn't eff up the entire weekend.
Boy Cord : 4/28/2016 2:06 pm : link
Get home from work. Watch the draft. Listen to sports radio in the morning, which we didn't have before.
Loved the old format.
Big Blue '56 : 4/28/2016 2:09 pm : link
Love this even more, mainly due to more time(in between rounds) to discuss first two days choices
If the

Rams, Eagles, and Chargers all wait the full time to make their picks, I'm going to kick their fans in the nuts anytime I see them.
moving the draft to Chicago is a major blunder
gtt350 : 4/28/2016 2:26 pm : link
it's DEAD. Ny had a rowdy great feel to it plus the Jet fans were always entertaining. Goodell sucks monkey balls

They should hold it in Vegas.

Goodell will probably want to hold it in London sometime soon.
