be one thing if the Giants were some stealthy org full of smokescreens and misdirections, but people have been correctly nailing their first for three straight years. No reason to think Raanan and Hitdog, who have been spot on so far, are all of sudden way off on Jack.
I think if there was receiver deserving of the number 10 pick,we would pick him. We should be desperate for a wideout. That being said, I wouldn't be very upset if we selected Coleman.
Is that it's not a me v. anyone thing and the end result will probably be what most of us think- Floyd as the pick.
Ramsey, Tunsil, Jack, and Buckner will all be gone, leaving us with Floyd who I think myself and any beat reporter thinks is the most likely possibility.
The only real difference between what anyone else is hearing and what I am hearing is that now a lot of people are saying it's Conklin, which I've not heard. On a personal note I don't think the Giants can even invest that much 1st round draft talent into the OL because eventually all need to get paid. So for those saying you might only get 5 years from Jack, be prepared to lose Flowers in 5 years anyway when a team backs up the Brinks truck for him.
The only other thing I am hearing different than anyone else is that the Giants won't pass on Jack at 10.
Where things are going to get really weird is if the following guys are all gone:
Ramsey
Tunsil
Jack
Buckner
Floyd
Which is a very very real possibility.
As I said the other day, the best laid plan for the Giants is for 1 of 4 guys (Ramsey, Tunsil, Jack, Buckner)
to be sitting there at 10 and they truly do think that is going to happen. It makes sense too, as Elliot isn't getting out of the top 8 and I still hear that a QB is going to go 7, whether to the niners or someone else in a trade. So if Goff, Wentz, Elliot, and Lynch all go before the Giants then if just one more guy outside of their top 4 sneaks into the top 10 they are Golden, whether it be Stanley or Bosa or Rankins or Hargreaves.
To be fair, 100% taking Jack and 100% passing on Jack is a pretty big gap. Especially since he's arguably the best pound for pound player in the draft pre-injury.

This sounds very likely. I really like Floyd and I think NYG likes then a lot mainly because they think he has the best chance to be available and can hopefully keep the rest of their picks and not move up.
Not explosive or quick-twitch enough, a bit undersized relative to their premium prototype, body needs a lot of revamping, and his projected upside isn't premium pass rusher in the NFL. Not high enough for #10, imv. Shoulder was also flagged, that's a fact.

is starting to make more and more sense...wonder which way they'd go if both are there. If it is Conklin, the Giants will have two of the nastiest bookend tackles in the NFL no doubt!

If Jack is the pick, the Giants will have deployed a hell of a smokescreen and Raanan will have some egg on his face.
It would also indicate a major shift in draft strategy as they just don't do smokescreens...at least they haven't in the past.
I think slade was the one with Nelson.
Limerick was all over Vernon first.
Limerick guy vs Ranaan
And, CB is really thin as well, but I could see them trying to fill this later in the draft.

That said, I would hate it if Lawson were the pick, which I think your list allows as a possibility
Doctson would be heaven, at the right slot
I seriously think the giants "highest rated by position" is based on who they could get, not everyone in the draft.
I have heard this statement about David wilson, Flowers, even Rueben Randle.
RG. We have John Jerry!

One name I've not heard once this entire offseason is Lawson.

I've been pretty surprised by that, honestly.
One name I've not heard once this entire offseason is Lawson.
Jack is doubtful to slip or doubtful to be the pick if he's there?
One name I've not heard once this entire offseason is Lawson.
Why doubtful? Doubtful because of the injury concerns or doubtful becauss he will probably not be available when we pick?
One name I've not heard once this entire offseason is Lawson.
This pretty much makes the most sense.
His shoulder was cleared at medical rechecks.
This place is about to explode.
This reminds me of 1999 Draft when the Giants passed on Aaron Gibson and picked Luke Petitgout. This place lost its collective mind.
Interesting. Thanks. All it takes is one team to be happy with his medicals for him to go top 10.
Help with what?
Out of that group a handful should be there. I'm thinking a lot of us are going to be pissed off with who they pass on.
bingo!
Ramsey
Tunsil
Buckner
Jack* (Between One and Two with injury)
Tier Two
Floyd
Conklin
Treadwell
Elliot
By NFL team doctors. I'm not a fan of him at 10 either but he was cleared at medical rechecks for that shoulder, that's a fact.

general clearance isn't necessarily a bottom line.

That doesn't answer the question, imv.
