Now I'm hearing NYG will for sure go for best OT on board at No. 10 and that looks like Jack Conklin. Want OT over LB Leonard Floyd
Crap..
FatMan in Charlotte : 4/28/2016 12:28 pm : link
I liked that news until I saw it was fucking Myers reporting it.
Hope he is right
Marty866b : 4/28/2016 12:31 pm : link
Conklin would give us another nasty guy on the line.
LOL with these reports
ZogZerg : 4/28/2016 12:31 pm : link
You can't believe anything you see today.
smh
Gmen108021 : 4/28/2016 12:33 pm : link
i dont expect much from our defense this year...yay cool eli will be protected thats good news, but who cares when you have JT thomas keenan robinson and devon kennard at LBer lol
Lets hope he is right
debo_GIANTS : 4/28/2016 12:33 pm : link
Dont like the Floyd pick at all
This is getting ridiculous.
LakeGeorgeGiant : 4/28/2016 12:36 pm : link
That said, while I'm not a huge fan of taking a RT at 10 it would be a much safer pick. Conklin would solidify the OL with very little risk.

Stanley I'm not big on. He would play LT, and something about the guy screams Beatty.
He has been such a douche I doubt
robbieballs2003 : 4/28/2016 12:37 pm : link
they are feeding him any important info.
I would be fine with this
BSIMatt : 4/28/2016 12:38 pm : link
...as well
For once I hope Myers is right
PatersonPlank : 4/28/2016 12:40 pm : link
It has to happen once.

As I wrote this morning, have been told in recent days some in building want offense. This is totally possible.

Amen to that. Good example:

The Chargers are likely to take DeForest Buckner. - Joel Klatt, FOX Sports

The Chargers have one player they're "locked in on." - Britt McHenry, ESPN

"Word is getting around" that the Chargers will select Ronnie Stanley. - , Pro Football Talk

The top three players the Chargers like right now are Laremy Tunsil, Ronnie Stanley and Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey is the safest pick for them. - Jeff Chadiha, NFL Network

That's been clear for a while because they want to keep Flowers at LT.

I've done my mock draft for the Giants. Still giving them Floyd until I hear otherwise from those I trust.
More from Myers

If Tunsil, Stanley and Conklin are all gone when Giants pick at No. 10 -- it's unlikely -- then they could take Floyd. But they want OT.

I've heard some people say Stanley is a bit like Will Beatty personality wise, which may not sit well with the Giants. We know they loved talking about Flowers' no-nonsense mindset.
Just watched Floyd/Alabama highlights

Where did all those trucks come from? I just do not know what some people are thinking!
You think they just tell
allstarjim : 4/28/2016 1:15 pm : link
A bunch of people a lot of different things so they feel they have something to report?
Wow ....
Beer Man : 4/28/2016 1:18 pm : link
If true, it could be the start of bringing smash-mouth football back to the NY Giants
I Would Be Very Happy
pa_giant_fan : 4/28/2016 1:24 pm : link
With either Conklin or Floyd, I think both will be a starter from day 1.
There are 5 to six guys
joeinpa : 4/28/2016 1:27 pm : link
the Giants might have the opportunity to pick. One guess is as good as another.

That said, I have felt for about the past 5 days that Conklin is the guy.
We always pick
area junc : 4/28/2016 1:32 pm : link
biggest need in 1st round and this year it's OT or WR.

Replacing Newhouse with a really good player could give us an OLine that can run the ball when it feels like it and keep Eli clean. that is a dangerous combination.

maybe with more of a killer instinct (ben over Tom) we can put some teams away with our offense
one of these knuckleheads will be right
djm : 4/28/2016 1:35 pm : link
but not before they leak 3 different possibilities.

I want their job.
and if there's one thing I am willing to bet my life on
djm : 4/28/2016 1:35 pm : link
it's that the Giants don't give Myers a fucking thing to chew on.
Myers?
Giants2012 : 4/28/2016 1:35 pm : link

I take it your not a Myers fan.
Our best O-lineman was drafted in the second round

First few days of the combine
JPinstripes : 4/28/2016 2:46 pm : link
The Giants locked in on Conklin, spent a lot of time with this kid and the ffeedback was very favorable. The knock on Conklin pre combine was he was slow, then he turned in a 5:00 40 yard that ranked among best for OL.

I hope he is the pick, I like Floyd, but Conklin would give the Giants a potentially dominant unit to build on and carry for a lot of years.
Kyler
AcidTest : 4/28/2016 2:47 pm : link
Fackrell is why they might take Conklin even if Floyd is still on the board. Fackrell is the same type of player as Floyd. Tall, lanky, and lean. 6’5” and about 245. He is 25 and tore an ACL in September 2014, but had a very good year last season. He will also very likely be available at 40. What RT is going to be available then?
If they pick conklin
Mike B from JC : 4/28/2016 3:32 pm : link
Have fun watching j.t. Thomas trying to cover t.e. and rb's all year. If the pass rush doesn't get there, we are screwed on d again. Keep picking RT with high picks, exactly why Reese loses his job.
