I have no idea if slade is right or not, but I stand by what I've said today...looking at this roster and the lack of activity at WR this offseason, one has to think WR is in play.
"This is a big bodied guy. Playmaker. Goes up, snatches the football. Runs the full route tree, lot of heart. Competitor, and we love his motor. Makes plays all over the field. We aren't concerned with the time. He's got football speed. This is a football player here."

They could take Shepherd or Boyd at 40 if they want one that badly.
can be had after a trade down. No reason to take him at #10. Now watch him be the pick.
Meh, people love to say stuff like that but there are no guarantees. I'm not in the camp that feels he is a huge reach at 10.
A trade to 15 would be a good move even if Treadwell is off the board there are a multitude of players I'd be happy with at 15, Conklin, Decker, Doctson, Dodd, Coleman, Nkemdiche.
After watching an interview with him he seems very mature and professional. He attacks the ball, is physical and a good blocker. It would be a solid pick IMO but I would love a trade back to 15 and still get him if he is the target.

Agree and if he's your guy, a guy you believe in to be a future all pro for the next 10 years you do not care where he's "mocked". You get your fucking guy and don't play games if you believe it. Yea, trade back and grab him like it's so easy and no one could trade up for him after you trade back.

most of the guys before 20 will all be grouped together. You just have to hit on your guy. If they take Treadwell at 10 and he's great, who cares if they reached.
Treadwell is their guy, Reese isn’t going to risk losing him for an extra third. I would, but that’s just because I’m not as high on him as others. Reese will be getting the top receiver on his board.
Guy has great hands. Makes some OBJ like catches. Always fighting for the ball and has a knack for getting open despite not having top flight speed. And....pretty good blocker. If he's the pick. I'll be happy. OBJ, Treadwell and Maybe a healthy Cruz? Can you say best WRs in the league?
You can't argue that the Giants don't need another WR Â
opposite Beckham. They clearly do. However, given the strengths an weaknesses of this draft, it sure seems that they could more easily get a quality receiver in the 2nd or 3rd unlike maybe a pass rusher or an OT.
Not only DL. Plenty of good secondary players at both CB and S. Probably not a strong LB option but we know the Giants tend do devalue that position. I really think it's going to be Conklin.
And I don't discount that he is not a burner, but just consider this for a moment.
Separation is not created off straight line speed, it's the change of direction (agility) and route running skill that generates separation. By all accounts, Treadwell is a good route runner and is extremely quick for a 6'2" WR. His negatives are his 40 and his vertical, but he has long arms and sticky hands. There is a lot to like with this kid. This is a case of trust your eyes, not the 40 time. On paper Randle was a mode explosive WR than Treadwell. Watch highlights of the two p!Ayers. Anyone think the measurements translated into reality? No they didn't, because Randle was a subpar route runner (didn't finish his routes) and rarely won the battle in tight spaces (not agile). Also Randle never seemed to know how to use his large frame to his benefit. He was a 6'2" WR that p!ayed like a 5'9" WR. Treadwell is a big, physical, agile, polished WR with a comparative streak. What's not to like?

He also plays the game like he wants to rip your fucking head off, which I love.
If we somehow picked up an extra 2nd or 3rd AND got Treadwell, I'd do backflips.
For the record, I'd also be just fine taking him at 10

Good point...do the Giants think Treadwell is a cut above the rest? And can be a star? That's the question.
what could the Giants get back for trading down to 13-15-range?
A 2nd or a 3rd and a 5th.
This may ultimately be achievable if you have a really aggressive buyer, but is not suppo
rted by the chart
In all likelihood it would have to be a very aggressive offer to coax Reese to trade down. The chart suggest a third rounder is fair compensation. I don't think they'd trade down for that

We're all gonna find out in a few hours.
I'm there with you brother, I'm all rumored out.
Me as well, I find the responses to asshats funny but could not care less otherwise. IMO, Most of them are compensating for something
No, no make that Quaker State.
They could take Shepherd or Boyd at 40 if they want one that badly.
I wonder if he has heard something .........

No...I'm just putting 2 and 2 together. If Reese goes into the season without another major weapon at WR, that's not good.

Hitdog has had a much better batting average - 1.000 during free agency.
Eric, my hypothetical and in some ways ideal scenario given that I want Reese to get more picks is:
Jags take Floyd
Titans trade with Browns and nab Conklin
Dolphins trade up to 10, grab Elliot
Giants take Treadwell at #13.

Neither is Treadwell.

He's pretty damn close..
That is exactly what he would say.

Not only do you see Treadwell's future, you also know exactly who will be available at 40? What else do you see in your crystal ball?
+1
A third rounder most likely. Unless Tennessee is really desperate And gives up a 2nd.
A 2nd or a 3rd and a 5th.
There isn't a first round pick we WON'T hate.

You can also say that the Giants tried to get a RT but failed so RT may be the pick at 10.
