has me excited and confident. Its the same every year. Mock drafts and random rankings.

Every draft I just think of Porzingis. And JPP.

I was hoping for

Most of the people bitching have never seen him play. Some of the reactions are ridiculous.

They've become jaded as they've watched the roster erode after years of poor drafting.

That ranked the Giants drafts over the last 5 years 31st out of 32.

6/7 years of no playoffs and three sub .500 seasons with putrid rosters, a team that will still have a below par roster even after spending a ton in FA and no matter what they do this draft, all while our franchise QB's window shrinks further and further.

The NFL drinking Reese's milkshake tonight and the team picking a green as fuck CB was never going to go over well, given the circumstances.
I particularly enjoy...

how countless people here spent a month bitching that they wanted no part of Floyd, then Chicago trades in front of us for Floyd and the same people are ripping Reese for not getting him. Fucking bipolar around here...
Every draft you think of Porzingis?

So, really, the only draft since the NBA draft?

Amazes me that so many fans seem to truly believe that they know better.

It's one thing to have watched a college player, him becoming a favorite and you hope for your team to pick him but to believe you know every player and what order they should be drafted is comical.

I'll continue to bitch if I want to.

I wanted Floyd. And they'll live to regret not getting him.

correct me if I'm wrong but Reese has nailed pretty much all of his 1st rd picks. So maybe we should trust the org on this , just maybe

Well, ya know

God didn't make little green apples and it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertime...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

just to shut up BBI morons. Although I also want him to help the team.
The Giants fans of old would be welcoming the new addition
Makogman : 4/28/2016 10:32 pm : link
Why does it surprise that Chicago would jump the Giants to get Floyd? Almost every mock had Chicago picking Floyd with the 11th selection.

As for Eli Apple, he is in need of some technique instruction and fortunately he is coming into a situation that will provide him top level mentorship. Also everyone has been screaming for a slot corner, well we will now have Jenkins moving inside with Apple and DRC outside in the nickel. That places 3 ballhawks with superior speed in the secondary. I believe Jenkins will be a better slot corner than Hargreaves, therefore it is an upgrade over the alternative.

I think that Apple may have the highest cieling of all the CB's in the draft. There is no doubt he is the fastest. 4.4 40 at the combine, 4.34 40 at his pro day. Technique can be taught, speed is God given.

I say welcome Eli Apple, make us proud!
Agree Mako

Giants fans of old? How old are you? Because I remember many an uneelcome draft.
that speed is crazt
SethFromAstoria : 4/28/2016 11:00 pm : link
for a bigger corner. Doesn;t it just seem like this draft is pretty deep in the first 20 especially?

Does anyone else just think its a pretty damn solid name for a NY Giant?
maybe it was a little high at 10
chillinman1183 : 4/29/2016 2:07 am : link
But anyone chosen behind him probably would have been a little to rich to be considered top 10 talent as well.

He has great upside, size, speed, length, and some ball skills to go along with it.

Everything you could ask for in a corner, but he does have some things he needs to work on now that he's playing against real professionals.

He won't be able to rely on just his talent alone anymore.

I believe he'll get coached up,have some solid mentoring from DRC and he'll have a nice Rookie season.

I'll admit it was a bit of a surprise to hear his name called at 10,but I'm more a fan of this pick then Flowers at 9 last year.

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Flowers as he is a Giant now and the same goes for anyone else they deem fit to draft in the future.

I hope he develops into a dominant run blocker that's solid in pass pro as well, and I think that's all we could ever ask for out of him.

He'll never be an Elite pass protector IMO,but he still has the talent, feet and definitely the strength to be a solid LT.

Not to mention he's barely 21,if he's even had his B.day yet.

So there's definitely time to grow, get stronger and improve.

As usual. But many here swear that these amateurs know more about who should be drafted for a specific team than the professionals who, coincidentally, work for that team.
