Starting Monday you will literally start seeing mock's for next year. Then we will finish the season and more mock's come out based on where the team finished. Then of course more with the combine, pro days and as you get closer to the draft.
I never look at them because all it takes is one dumb team to go with a reach pick or have a team like the Bears trade ahead of the Giants and the mock is messed up. Did any one of those drafts show the Giants taking Apple?
Complete waste of time. See you next April for the real thing.
These mocks, along with the leaks from within the Giants organization, led to two teams jumping ahead of us for our top two targets (Conklin & Floyd). It's easy to just dismiss mocks as nonsense but teams are well in tune and know which media members have sources within specific organizations.
This isn't the first draft it has screwed us and it won't be the last unless we fix what's broken.
