Either would really help the D. We can get our 3rd WR in FA or the 3rd Rd. Still don't know what to do about RT, a trade with SF seems to make the most sense. Of course we could also just keep the Jerry/Newhouse/Hart trio again and hope they improve.

I'd also look at Cravens. If we don't get Jack I'd definitely grab him in the 3rd if he's still there.
Hunter Henry would be a great addition, Spriggs would add some meat up front, but I think Noah Spence may end up being one of the big steals in this draft when all is said and done.
has stud written all over him. I'd love that choice
As a DE or DT? I like his quick first step, but he's another case of a player that you'd expect would have better numbers than he did.
I'd play him mainly in a rotation on the inside. He's so disruptive. He's more of a run stuffer that can get to the QB with consistency. That being said, you can move him to the outside on occasion as well. I think Spags would like him for his versatility on the line. Great work ethic too.
guy I'm really high on and wouldn't mind at 40 (albeit perhaps a bit of a reach) would be Nick Martin from Notre Dame. Plug this dude in at RG right away.
Brilliant, let's go ahead and cut two of our safeties returning from IR last season. I am hoping the Giants steer clear of bringing in any new safeties unless it's a UDFA.
Why? You haven't seen anything from the safeties we have to leave you confident they can help this team.
Because they are young and need to be given one year to prove otherwise. What should we do just bring in more safeties and cut a couple of guys that have not been given a valid shot at making the roster and proving they can stick and contribute. I am all for giving them another chance especially now our pass rush is going to be much improved from the past few seasons.
Major upside. He could be an All-Pro in a few years.
I am starting to warm up to Dodd. I am at a trade show down in Atlanta next to the Georgia dome. I spoke to a few Clemson fans who say Dodd is a tremendous player who rushes the passer and plays the run just as good. A few guys said he was just as good as Shaq and the reason being is Shaq couldn't stay healthy. They think he is a perfect DE in a 4-3, while Shaq was better suited as a standup in a 3-4.
Him Hank and Harrison would make a special DT rotation. Have enough talent on outside provided Odi stays healthy and talented corners. Hopefully, they could grab a safety and wr in next couple of rounds.
what's the consensus? Do we make the move for Jack? Man, talk about a fucking hope and a prayer if we did it.
We really don't know. It all depends on how the Giants view the medicals. None of us have access to that information so both Jack and Jaylon Smith are the ultimate wildcards. If the Giants are comfortable with their medicals, it would be a coup. If not, you have to pass for healthier players.

That's all the Giants really care about at that position.
In Round 3, I would like to see a WR.. They have signed
a couple of LB's, don't see them taking another one until
Day 3 at the earliest. That's where JR "finds" them.
Posted this on another thread... My top 10 right now...
1. LB Myles Jack (damn the injury just to good at this point)
2. DT Andrew Billings (Shocked he hasn't been drafted. This guy is a freak and just 20 years old. His upside is off the charts! At 311 lbs he had like a 35 inch vert!)
3. DE Emmanuel Ogbah (very under rated IMO. Still learning I think is why. I love his upside)
4. WR Sterling Sheppard (Ok I have called him a slot WR, but the more I watch him the more I like him. Very good kid also.)
5. DE Kevin Dodd (played on a talented Def and on the other side of Shaq Lawson, but played extremely well. has good size)
6. OT Le'Raven Clark (here is the thing... He is a LT IMO. Good feet and extremely long arms. He has amazing potential to be elite. That is saying something so I can't pass on him)
7. DE Noah Spence (Not sure on the fit, but I think he is very talented as a pass rusher. He has worked hard to stay clean and I don't think his history is as much of a risk as others)
8. FS Vonn Bell (won't happen... they won't draft him, but I like him a lot)
9. WR Tyler Boyd (amazing hands. Under rated because his last year they switched how they used him and his yards per catch went way down. Runs good routes and I think will be a solid #2 WR for years!)
10. DT/DE Jonathan Bullard (I think he is a pass rushing DT. I love his get off. He can play DE though also making him very flexible for a team that had only 2 good DEs and 2 good DTs... That puts his value way up for me.)
Players I really like even though they are probably 3rd rounders... LB Scooby Wright and WR Michael Thomas Southern Miss
Players that will be on most peoples top 10 A'shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed, Carl Nassib, and Reggie Ragland.. I like them all and would be happy with any of them.

I would agree, doesn't make sense to draft another safety
early in the draft. Since they have these guys here already,
have to show us what they have or don't for a year.
Are Myles Jack, Andrew Billings, and Von Bell. Let's continue to add to the defense in round 2. Add a G or WR in round 3 and swing a trade for Anthony Davis and this team is in great shape.
is a fringe 1st round pick. A much better prospect than anything we currently have at free safety. I understand the need to see what we have on the roster, but that doesn't mean you simply pass on Bell if he's the best player.
name that hasnt been mentioned is Chris Jones, the DT/DE from Mississippi State. He has the size and length that Reese craves. I wouldnt be surprised if hes the pick, but he could easily be taken before #40.
is that the viable pool of "Value+Need" picks is greatly enhanced for the Giants!
The funny thing is I think we're pretty much set at D-Line, but yet there are so many quality players available today. I'm a huge proponent of taking the best player available so if we walk away from the second round with either Robinson, Dodd, Ogbah, Spence or Chris Jones, I'll be absolutely thrilled.

Set at DL? Who do we have after JPP and Vernon at DE? Who do we have at DT after Hankins and Snacks? We need a DT and DE badly IMO... Especially when there is a good chance we lose JPP next year and Snacks is really a 2 down player. We need a big time DE badly for next year and passing downs and depth of course.

Odighizuwa was a third round pick last year and I still think he has very nice upside. Kerry Wynn is a good backup.
I'm not a fan of Bromley, but he was a Day 2 pick as well, as was Nix.

Weird how people cry about depth, then conveniently forget the very young players on the roster who are the depth they cry about.

I didn't forget about anyone... OO was a healthy scratch last year when he was finally healthy. Don't you think that maybe he isn't going to be that good? It is way to early to tell, but it isn't like he flashed and there is no need to grab a top talent that fell to you in the second. I would feel much better with OO being my 4th DE than my second. The #Cowboys are attempting to trade up with the #Browns at No. 32, source said. The likely target is a pass-rusher.
casserly (sp?) Just had us taking Boyd fwiw
Sheppherd
And Henry from Bama
Are the 3 I am keying on.
Offense round 2.
I'd love either of the other two, but Derrick Henry in R2 would be chuck the entire TV out the window worthy.
I'd also look at Cravens. If we don't get Jack I'd definitely grab him in the 3rd if he's still there.

Paul Dottino mentioned this morning on NFL network to look out for Jonathan Bullard, Boyd, and Spriggs.

Could see Boyd, decent size WR with 9 3/4" hands. Looks to be a good hands catcher.

I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Tier two would be the other DL reputed players Ogbah/Dodd, left plus a handful of LBs.
Tier three the savvy, cuts on a dime and gets open slot wrs and guards or right tackles.
3rd: Leonte Carroo WR
Trade a 2017 pick for Anthony Davis
Make it happen JR!!

(of course, opinions send a few into meltdown mode around here).
