One of the things that irked me about hargreaves is that when he was asked to play man coverage, he got beat up pretty badly (see vs Michigan) and got burned on double moves and down the sideline. That to me signaled he was best as a zone corner player because his size would stop him from playing on the outside. Hargreaves is explosive when he can look into the back field and drive on the ball.
Apple is all about what he CAN become, not what he is, like hargreaves. He's got the size to play outside, athletically tested well, and that gives him the leg up on hargreaves. The fact that he matched up well vs top players as a 19 and 20yo shows that he's an ascending talent with a higher potential to matchup outside 1on1 vs receivers unlike hargreaves.
Look for what he is in 2017+ not just this year or what the tape showed LAST year
We had a league-worst defense that needed immediate attention so as not to piss away Eli's prime years.
He already is the best CB in this draft if you think Ramsey plays Safety. Eli is a stud and is going to keep getting better... people on this site are as high as Tunsil is right now!
