Asides from the Giants...thoughts on other teams?

kash94 : 4/28/2016 11:52 pm
Since we have a lot of threads already just on the Giants, figured I'd start one on the rest of the league.

Who do you think came out with a good day or bad day?

Jacksonville has to be happy - great offseason for them. SF did well with their first pick but their second pick was strange.
Is Lynch

really worth a 1st round pick?
Love what Cleveland did... From 2, to 8, to 15
Saos1n : 4/28/2016 11:55 pm : link
And still got a game changer in Coleman...

Washington did well

Technically... Lol
Hard to judge on one round
bigblue12 : 4/28/2016 11:57 pm : link
But the Jags did well as did the Redskins, Vikings and Panthers in my opinion.
The Niners trading back into the first to take a guard

WTF
The Cowboys: what Morons!
Vanzetti : 4/28/2016 11:59 pm : link
They sign Alfred Morris and then pass over Jalen Ramsey for Eliott?

I was very happy with that pick
Hate to say it
The_Boss : 4/28/2016 11:59 pm : link
But I think the NYG got the "worst" player in the division tonight.
The Eagles got Mayock's #1 player, Dallas the #1 RB (and likely Offensive ROY favorite), and the Redskins got arguably the best WR in the draft...

That was insane, however the 49ers have half the picks of this draft. They could afford it
EE can be great on Dallas,
shockeyisthebest8056 : 4/29/2016 12:03 am : link
but passing up on the draft's best player (Ramsey) can never be a good thing.

Jags lucked out with Ramsey.

Smart move by the Dolphins taking Tunsil.

The Niners trade up for Garnett seems ridiculous to me.
I wonder how much Claibourne
LeonofKiev : 4/29/2016 12:08 am : link
played a part in passing up Ramsey.
They spent all those resources on OL, you don't need an elite runner but they got him anyway.
Their CBs stink, they'll regret that pick.

BUT,
Dallas passed over the best DB in the draft, and probably the past 5 drafts, to take EE. This is an area of need for their team.

Phila's QB won't play for another year, then we'll see.

Washington's WR is probably on par with about 5 other receivers in this draft - good players, but not necessarily going to be OBJ level.

The Giants needed to build up the depth of their defense. They were one turned ankle away from starting Trevin Wade against Dez Bryant on opening night.
They liked Apple over all remaining DBs....we'll see if they were right.

Remember a year ago when they told us the Oline made Murray a success?
Dallas came out better?
DonQuixote : 4/29/2016 12:16 am : link
Many here felt it would be a reach to take an RB at 10...how about 4? The Cowboys could have had a decent QB or a pass rusher, but they take an RB. I like Elliot, but before the Dallas RBs got into trouble last year, and Romo got hurt, they were running great. Elliot is not a value pick for them.

As for the Eagles, yes they got their QB, it might work ... It better or they are screwed. If it works, they will be like us, a franchise QB and a dearth of infusion from the draft.

Redskins, I like Coleman best, but they make a solid pick. What do you what them to do, forfeit?

The Giants got the best CB in the draft, solid.

I call it about even with maybe Dallas taking the biggest risk.

Forgot that Alfred Morris

went to the Cowboys who I think will have a very solid years, was a luxury pick IMO and really glad they didn't get Ramsey.

In the dysfunctional NFC East, the conservative pick makes sense.
I cheered when Dallas picked EE
adamg : 4/29/2016 5:38 am : link
Thank God Ramsey is out of the division.

The biggest shock for me was Bosa at 3. That caught me off guard. As did the drafting of two tackles in the top ten who weren't Tunsil. Tunsil proved to be a complete headcase idiot.
Elliott
Dragon : 4/29/2016 6:10 am : link
Was a shock pick for me was pretty close to 90+ they would go defense but he will be someone we now have to account for the guy is going to be a very good NFL back.

As for these young guys who just don't understand social media is just not worth most of the headaches that come from foolish acts which can become universal info in a instant. The positive to this idly Phins hopefully got a top three talent who now needs to prove that he is not as stupid as the photos show.

The draft and the NFL are already a difficult road for these young men but if you do stupid things then you will find yourself answering a great deal of stupid questions brought on by yourself.
I think Elliott will be good - especially behind the Dallas ol,
Ira : 4/29/2016 6:22 am : link
but at the same time I think he has been over rated. I think much of his success comes from the offensive line who opened gaping holes for him to run through.
