I prefer H Henry, but I accept that this FO isn't likely to take a TE in R2.
As much as I didn't want Randle back, the one WR + third down RB offense they have currently is going to blow up on them. They have to find another weapon, of some sort, somewhere.
my favorite WR in this draft the whole time. Wanted him to come out last year, but he didn't. Anyway, running great routes in tandem with OBJ and Cruz would destroy defenses self beliefs.
Derek Henry,or Devante Booker,or even Kenneth Dixon.
I'd be all for it and guarantee they make more of an impact right out of the gate then any other player the Giants could pick.
The Giants need a guy they can count on week in and week out.
that's the only reason I say Derek Henry as well, because I like the other 2 a little better as all around backs, but atleast Henry can catch a little bit, unlike Andre stone hand Williams.
I say any of those 3 or Shepard if they go the WR route.
This dude is a bigger, stronger, quicker and faster version of Steve Smith.
Our Steve Smith that is!!
There are some defensive players I Think could make an impact an develop into players as well.
Ogbah would be my 1st Choice,as I was sure he'd be drafted in the latter part of the 1st.
Hunter Henry I wouldn't mind but believe Tye and Donelle if both stay healthy will form a nice duo this year.
Tye looks like he could be a really solid player, especially as a receiver.
We all know what Donelle is by now.
An inconsistent average player that sometimes makes us think he could be more with his acrobatic, circus catches.
But the giants are going to need a RB before long and this year would be the perfect opportunity, because we are all but guaranteed that atleast 1 if not all will be there when the Giants pick!!
I actually like Michael Thomas of Ohio State better than Shepard but I do agree that Shep has major upside and will be a fantastic outside or slot WR in the NFL for years to come.

Another great choice Anak - if they go WR in Rd2 - who the hell knows what the Giants will do?
Okay now - full disclosure ... my real name is not "Short Lease" - I lied to you guys (sorry).
My real name is Michael J. Thomas ... and every time I see that name up there it cracks me up.

Haha there are two wide receivers named Michael Thomas in this year's draft!

Is one of them from Stanford? I keep remembering a guy associated that name with a guy from Stanford - but, I thought he was a DB ... a couple years back.

There is a guy from Stanford who plays for the Miami Dolphins as a S.
I am going to have to keep googling this other "Michael Thomas" ... obviously a phony (I am the real Michael Thomas).
Most people like wide receivers who are big or fast. To me, wide receiver is a skill position. That, more than his speed, makes Odell Beckham great. Shepard may be the best route runner in this draft.
Mook, I closed my iPad after last night's meltdown. Didn't catch your reaction to the Apple pick last night.
I would say it's 50-50. Teams looking for a WR might prefer bigger guys like Tyler Boyd and Michael Thomas. Some teams might think he's a slot WR only and while I think that his ideal position, I do think he can play on the outside effectively.
I have Thomas rated a bit higher but I would be absolutely thrilled with either one.
I'd be very happy with Shepard.. I think Michael Thomas might actually be a better fit for this team right now but I like Shepard a little more as a player.

The real winner tonight? @BigBlueInteract lifer @mookgiants, who called the Sterling Shepard pick first thing this AM. I have proof.
you can't afford to waste the good years he has left and we needed someone dynamic out there to take some pressure away from Beckham. I wonder if they would have taken him if HH was available.

But, I think SS has my vote by a hair.
Eff me - I am so drafted out ... I don't want to think about it anymore.
Saturday night - can't get here fast enough.

And BBI cheers greatly!
Apparently it cleared your head enough to make a great call here.
Finished the trip by going skydiving. That was crazy but an amazing experience.
