This looks like where the best value is right now. A number of DL that fit the Giant prototype for the position.Size/strength/speed types followed by a few WRS. Giants value route running very highly and there are a few that could be great options here. You could maybe argue Safety but I think that may be best value in Round 3-4:
DL
Bronson Kaufusi - If we dont go edge rusher round 1. This years Preston Smith (DE size/arm length/strength/triangle # combination Giants love from their DE's- 11 sacks/20 TFLS in 13 games last year)
*Jonathan Bullard- not as amazing measurables as Kaufusi but pretty darn good across the baord as well. Amazing/explosive first step. Not a ton of sacks but coming to his own and quite possibly a double digit sack guy in the pros.
*Ogbah (4.6-4.7 speed at his size?) Fits Giants prototype for size/speed specimen at DE
*Carl Nassib- Excellent measurables and also coming to his own. Giant prototype DE/DT on passing downs hybrid player
Kevin Dodd- 6.5 ,277. 3 sacks,5 TFL in biggest stage. Another guy coming into his own and has the frame Giants prefer on DL.
WR/TE
Hunter Henry TE(complete 2 way TE which has been traditionally what the Giants prefer )
*Shepard (tremendous route runner, a better NYG Steve Smith)
-Mike Thomas- possibly best size/speed complement to OBJ with polish/route running skill
-Boyd
Dark horses
OT
Jason Spriggs- former TE,athletic LT versatility
Cody Whitehair
S
Vonn Bell/Sean Davis/Justin Simmons- hoping 1 of these 3 make round 3
Torn between that an WR. Think we can wait on Safety until round 3.
What sticks out to you about Bullard as a Reese pick?
Quote:
Bullard is a Reese type player. I'd go Henry, but I realize that will never happen, so Shephard would be my pick.
What sticks out to you about Bullard as a Reese pick?
Versatility, I'd think. He can give you up-the-middle push or play on the edge. Good size, rare first step.
