Cowboys were close to trading back into the first round to pick Paxton Lynch but Broncos beat them out of picking Lynch.

Rick Gosselin's comment after Cowboys picked Elliott was whether Jones was going to rehire Switzer to run the Wishbone offense.

for years I have been putting down Jones for not hiring a GM and but I finally have to admit he has done a much better job at drafting than our GM has.

I don't know if this is the year to say that. Jerry just wants an amazing, fun offense to watch and this pick shows that. Let's see how that defense does though. And they didn't exactly solve the backup QB situation yet.

Cowboys have pigeon holed themselves with not addressing QB or defense. If Romo gets hurt, they are toast again.

in my wildest nightmare, I don't think Reese would ever entertain the thought of drafting someone like Manziel....

I think they address the QB issue at number 34

Could be Connor Cook although they really like Prescott and Brissett.
