I wouldn't be surprised if it was all horseshit. My bet is that Apple, Floyd, Conklin, and maybe even Elliot were all on the same tier. But then again, we will never definitively know.
So much nonsense about knowing who the Giants liked
The players they were linked to were top ten players. Of corse they liked them. So did a lot of teams. Most here thought Floyd would be gone and he was. It doesn't matter who drafts him or whether or not it was a trade. I think those teams overpaid for who they got. CB was the position where the talent available met the need/priority of the Giants.
I think the fact that people feel they have valid criticisms speaks volumes.
Then how come no one knew they liked Apple?
