“His size (6-1 and 200 pounds) and his competitive spirit,” Ash said. “He has really good size, he has good height, long arms and he is a competitor. He and Mike Thomas, a receiver we had at Ohio State who will also be drafted, would go against each other all the time. When Mike Thomas would step up on the line to do one-on-ones, Eli was pushing himself up to the front to get out there to go against Mike. Those two guys would compete, they would darn near fight every single day, because they wanted to win so badly. That is what separates Eli from a lot of others.” |
