Hopefully we trade a fifth or a sixth rounder for Anthony Davis, sign Louis Vasquez, get a nice linebacker like Travis Feeney and a nice TE and I'll be ready to go!
it remains to be seen what Bobby Hart can do -- we can pray -- but another Tackle that shows some real skills would still be a very good addition to the Giants -- still -- I think the Giants improved themselves with these picks
Conklin would have been a nice road grader on the right side. Still believe Hart will eventually earn a spot on that right side. He's already moved up to 2nd team RT. That JJ stan appears to be right that McAdoo is okay with Jerry at RG.
Not to upset though about not getting a OL in the 1st round because these dudes will be expecting some serious money on these 2nd contracts.
Pugh and Richburg going to cost some serious money next year. I'm sorry but I'm not into having an OL of guys collecting big money over a long period of time. Been there and done that. Squeeze everything you can out of Hart.
Some people act like they should have fill five needs with three picks
I thought the Giants would do exactly what they have done, position wise.
Offensive line is an issue for sure but the third round wasn't the time to reach. Springs was there in the second but no one here is going to look back and wish the Giants took him over Shepard.
And there are guys left. I still like Joe Haeg and Caleb Benenoch.
Watch the game tape -- just regular snaps of defensive downs not highlights-- of Thompson and you'll feel Much better -- the kid was all over the field. He covers a lot of ground and is in on plays that were away from him -- and not as a pile jumper, but as the guy making the stop, hit or int.

Pugh is already signed for next year...option just picked up
Richburg has another 2 years on his rookie contract
Not thrilled with Apple, might have taken Hargreaves there. Absolutely should have taken Tunsil there, but the Giants had just as much chance of drafting Kim Jong Un.
I absolutely trust McAdoo's choice of Sheppard, he knows what he wants for his offense and I'm sure he had a huge say in the pick (I fucking hope so).
the Safety was also a need spot. May have gone Shalique Calhoun there, but I will be a rational Giants fan and wait and see, and hopefully Darian Thompson can be a starter in the league.
Very logical picks as far as the positions they addressed. We wait and see now if these guys can play in the NFL. I think I feel the best about Sheppard.
Vets get beat out and cut some a combination
of Money Age and Skill .
I don't think were gonna sit pat on the O-line
But's its gonna hurt us all year long .
Not Being able to run the ball when we have too.
I don't want to hear about 8th rated offense either
Plenty of Junk stats .
his game is eerily like Randall Cobb and Rapoport reported that every NFL offensive coordinator said Shepard will be at least a very good WR, if not a dominant one
That offense, with the same right side of the line
and dogshit at WR behind OBJ managed to be in the top 10 statistically. Now, bring back Cruz, draft Shepard - and it's not going to get off the ground because of the OL?
And if ONE MORE person posts about how we have our two starting corners and don't need three,....................well...............
I don't know, I got nothin.......
Who says we did not need a corner? Nickel back was one of our greatest needs. Now Jenkins can slide into the slot when needed, while this kid plays outside. The only complaint is, we could have picked a slot corner in the 3rd or later. It is not good strategic use of our draft resources.

You would rather take a small slot corner over a prototypical physical Terrell Thomas PT. II? Keep doing whatcher doing.
I think some are complaining because they had somewhat unrealistic
visions of filling all the team's holes or even enough of them to be good again... and that's not happening -- nor was it even possible this offseason, no matter what they did.
It's easy to have pie in the sky dreams before things actually play out and it leads to frustration when reality shoots them down when they do, even when the reality (in this case the player or at least position selections) isn't actually bad.
All three of these guys are hard-working good players and fill a real need on the team. Arguably the team filled three of it's biggest holes with them -- would I like another RT -- yes I would -- but it's hard to argue with the picking of each of these three guys
again for those of you arguing the Giants should have picked Tunsil -- the Giants weren't going to pick Tunsil --- they telegraphed that before the draft -- Tunsil had issues and it wasn't just the pot mask picture. The Giants telegraphed he wasn't going to be picked well before that picture was broadcasted. Eli Apple is size and skill wise no slouch at CB -- Hargreaves is a good player and I liked him -- but Apple has the potential and measurables that may, in fact, make him a better choice.
Anyone who wants to argue with Sheppard as the pick -- well you may just be off your rocker -- Sheppard is a solid pick and will be an awesome addition to the WR corps. He insures that even if VIctor can't play the WR corp will have to be reckoned with.
The FS/S Thompson has a dominant presence on the field and is a very hard working kid that makes things happen. He has a palpable skill set that stands out, and he fits an area of real need for the Giants.
I am relatively happy with all three of the choices so far and really don't get the "reach" comments. These are all really good players with high character at need positions.
I think it depends on where posters value the needs this team has
All three picks are solid ones, I really like the Shepard pick which to me could be the steal of the draft. But virtually no one besides SY had Apple that high (of course he does know more then the rest of us though) and Thompson's 4.7 40 is not real encouraging for a FS.
I think much of the consternation also comes from how it appears we got outmaneuvered in the 1st round.

Dave Te also had Apple ranked as his number 1 CB in the draft - and there have been several other well-respected reports that view the Apple pick very favorably

If you are referring to Tennessee trading to #8 to get Conklin I'd ask if we were outmaneuvered or unwilling to pay the price? According to the trade value charts the price would be equal to a middling low 3rd round pick. And considering we would enter a bidding war with Tenn. the price would go up. Too many holes to make that trade especially if you have similar grades on another player.
its been a very good draft. i am very happy with the positions a good combo of need and value.
I don't know, I got nothin.......
These are all needs -- and I didn;t see what RT could have been picked better than what was picked at the time and place of the pick

Hey Man Glad to hear it.
I dont get what is the obsession with LBs......We have a good enoough Squad if you Compare 07 and 11.....
Defense is DONE. Unless maybe one more 3 offense and 3 Defense.
These are all needs -- and I didn;t see what RT could have been picked better than what was picked at the time and place of the pick
8th?Really? We just need one Lineman. bobby hart will exceed expectations
and grab a guard

Drop the mic dude. Says it all.
Well, almost all. We also choose a slot receiver when we need someone on the boundary. Need not filled....
