What happen? Are there major concerns for this Giants offensive line? YES! Did the Giants do anything to address this problem with the offensive line? NO. One can not blame Jones or Newhouse, they were never meant to be starters, so what happen? Also, Damon Harrison will help the Giants defense in stopping the running but won't be much of a factor in harnessing the QB. Teams must have a defensive tackle that can help puss the pocket back so that the rest of the defense can get after the QB, sorry, just another factor that was not address in the draft and should have been. So what happens next? Let's just hope that the Giants try to fix these problems and fast.
Eric, some people never get it.
I'm thankful that Reese made the cap space he did this year, as it allowed us to make a real haul in FA and significantly improve the team. But again, hitting on some mid-round picks who become cheap starters can allow for that year after year.
As for the DL, with at least four good dlineman it will be harder for opposing teams to roll protection and Hankins will be back.
You can't force picks particularly if there is a wide difference in grades between given players.
Like Eric has repeatedly said there are many holes on this team.
The first step, it to become a contender....you don't have three straight losing seasons and then become a SB champion...
With a new HC, OC and all the new players, there will be growing pains.....but by the end of this season, if this team comes together, the NFC Least is there for the taking, and there will be an end to this playoff drought....
As for the OL, I'm sure Reese is not done.....someone's castoffs may be better than what we have, or there is always the possibility of a trade....

Exactly!
In fact, my source (who actually has the sources) tells me that the Giants were never ever going to take an OL in the early rounds this week and especially not in the first. They weren't going to take either Stanley or Tunsil who are both pure LTs and despite the buzz about Conklin were never going to use a top 10 pick on a pure RT. In fact, they went into the draft looking to add two of an edge rusher, receiver and corner in the the first two rounds. And once Floyd was gone they never got a look at another edge rusher worth a pick.
At the same time, my understanding is that even with the addition of Shepard and Apple they would also still like to add another veteran WR, especially one with a bit of size, plus another veteran corner, but otherwise they actually look like they are in pretty good shape going forward and its more up to the players to stay healthy and play to their ability.
What is certain is that the talent level there is subpar. It certainly could prevent this offense from reaching it's potential. Teams that don't fulfill their potential rarely win.
I still think that an outside WR is a glaring and fatal hole. Other than that, I'm okay with this team as it stands.

I've often wonder how, over time, teams would do if they bundled their 4-7 picks to get an extra pick in the 1-3 range and then called it quits for the day.
when your GM has had a poor drafting record and NEVER trades down, this is always going to be the case.

We can all agree it's killed them
What a boost if Odi and Bromley can make an impact. Not sure, as of now, who is really giving that right side any competition for reps which is scary.
