Perkins pick had ne thinking(dangerous)

Elisthebest : 5/2/2016 12:09 pm
For some reason it had me thinking back to late 60's when the Giants picked up Ronnie Blye. He was going to be the Second Coming. I'm thinking it was just before a PreSeason game, maybe the JayCEE classic , Gs vs. Eagles out at Princeton Univ. Anyone else remember those games? Forgive my babbling.
They only spent a fifth round pick.

I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
Second coming of what?

More a kick returner than a RB.....how does Perkins make you think of him?
Not the outcome

Just the style
Perkins is, right now, the most complete and most talented RB

on the roster. This wasn't a reach, it wasn't a kick returner, scat back, etc. This is a guy who flat out makes people miss in space and in tight quarters, has good straight line speed, has some power to his game, and can catch the ball. What is there not to like about him? I honestly think he could end up being the biggest steal of the draft as a 5th round selection.
Yeah ...

I just love this pick.
Yup, I remember Ronnie Bly very well. All-City,

along with my city champion Midwood's Brent Kaufman. Another great HB with about 180 offers (USC, ND, UCLA, all the top schools) and went to U Rhode Island to become an orthopedic surgeon. Don't think that ever happened, but two years after he left school he was in the SI Faces in the Crowd for scoring 6 TDs at URI.
