Can you explain the particulars for the Giants to obtain Anthony Davis? I'm assuming the Niners still own his rights somehow and therefore would be entitled to some form of compensation if Davis were to come to the Giants this year?
Davis still has to file his retirement papers. My understanding is that hasn't been done yet even though he's stated a desire to return. Then the 49ers either have to release or trade him.
