As long as he understood that playing for the Giants was good and brought him money and fame, and getting kicked off the Giants was bad and would bring him a job pumping gas at 12 dollars an hour, he could have been trained, like a puppy, to stay away from late hits.
Christ, he was just a dumb kid. That's why you keep an experienced veteran like Tuck around to teach the newcomers.

So you ask when intelligence is a requirement and then blame his failure on being a dumb kid?

I don't blame his failure on a being a dumb kid. I blame it on his not getting the extra teaching and patience that he needed because he was a dumb kid.
And no, I couldn't guarantee that Moore would have come around. But with a third round pick who had flashed some ability at pass rushing I think they should have been more patient. It was like Coughlin or someone threw a temper tantrum and demanded that he be cut immediately.
Can't do that with a high draft choice who had shown promise in rushing the passer. Have to wait for the emotions to cool down. If the NFL had minor league teams, Moore would have been a perfect candidate to be sent down until he learned to have some discipline.
Moore against the Colts a couple years ago. Down huge he forces a fumble from Luck and starts to dance instead of go after the ball. I would have been fine with Coughlin walking out to midfield and firing him.
to be back with Johnny Football. They'll get straight together...
Damontre's issues has to do with discipline on the field. He's not in the same stratosphere as Manziel, not sure how pairing those two makes any sense. If it's intended as a joke, it's just a plain old dumb one.
...on-field brain farts, his locker room antics have again caused his downfall. It doesn't look like this guy can get along with his teammates. You really cannot teach likability, or the willingness to get along with others.
Even actual number 2 picks bust.
I was bashed by the experts on BBI when I said I doubted he would play for the Dolphins this year.
With their suspensions, maybe for 4 weeks. They may also try to get some scouting info given their opening game. Not sure how much they'll get.
No one lit a match; the tire was over-inflated past its maximum capacity and simply exploded.

Sometimes it's a hopeful praise, and this one didn't pan out.

How much more patient were you going to be with a kid that had problems getting on the field and then turned into a human penalty when he did play?
