There is a lot of quality posting here. I consider myself an educated and informed man. I have learned a lot about football here though. There is better information here than on any public mass produced site. You have to be willing to find it though. It is often hidden amongst the trash. I am wondering aloud if we could come up with a way to sort through it easier. I have some favorite posters who I try read everything they post. Of course I don't always agree but over time I have come place great value on their opinions.
I also appreciate the people who spend a great amount of time researching facts and posting links to their sources. There is so much crap presented as fact without source I value greatly a strangers investment of their time so I can be more informed. Time is everything, none of us have enough of it. So a great big THANK YOU to those so generous with their time. Extra thank to Eric, JonC, Joey in VA and Sy56'. That is in no particular order and there are others but these are the people who I actively search for posts.
Expanding on time, I was wondering if we could rate posts and then have sort that would allow us to read the highest rated alltime,, year, month week, day. I know there would somewhat of a popularity contest but It would allow me find other posters that might not often post something of quality but sometimes do as well as anyone. I just do not have enough time to read everything here. People might not post such drivel if they cared about their overall rating because if we rate posts it would be very easy to then to rank posters. Yes I know all the issues that this can cause. I post other place where this is done. I feel the benefits outweigh the negative.

Yes and beyond that you can then sort by users or latest activity, or simply search for an individual user if you desire.
And of course if you click on any user you can view all threads they are active in.

Actually, losing active brain cells pales in comparison to anything offered up on game threads. If losing brain cells were the major downside to game threads, they would be most welcome

As someone already suggested there are other ways to navigate to help you out. You have to get a little creative is all. Every poster (when they post something) has a link to their profile. That profile also shows their recent activity (postings). That's how I've tracked down some of Sy'56s posts for example.
After awhile and some effort you learn who posts with a halfway decent football IQ and who is full of it. I'm often the latter but I occasionally have my moments, lol. It gets easier to read once you get acclimated. Good luck.

I am not complaining, just an observation.
The reason I say this is, there are times when you reply,
there is verbiage, and then a lot of space.
At times, there is more verbiage underneath the big space.
I have been on this site for a few months, I know I have
screwed up about a half dozen times already.
Just a thought, more modern feature as someone mentioned.

It's like the guy that says the majority of BBIers are morons, insists he's smarter than 99% of the board and cites those BBI posters he calls morons backing him up as proof.

There's a lot to sift through to get to what one person would call intelligent commentary. The site is run for profit, the more the merrier. There's really no one here with any insight into the team, well, maybe Sy and occasionally Eric. Every once in a while a Giant employee of some stature will pop in and share something.
The site is made up of posters that watch football. The good posters know what they are watching, they do the research into players and coaches, offensive and defensive schemes and share an informed opinion based on experience. Some opinions are more readily accepted than others. You choose who you want to listen to and avoid others if you're into time saving info gathering.
It's pretty obvious who knows what they are talking about, it's just a matter of taste whose style you prefer to read .
