Yet, the Giants picked 2 cornerstone players in it with Pugh and Hankins.
Reese deserves some credit for that draft. It could have set us back even more if he had missed on those 2 which could have easily happened.
The reason all these 5th year options are not being picked up is because these players aren't nearly as good.
I have attached a redraft article from Bleacher report. Both have Pugh and Hankins going in the first round.

So many clowns... please keep telling us how Apple was a reach, so you can eat shit some more. You know who you are.

Agree. Order is a joke, but the point still stands, mostly.
They're like placekickers..A few terrific years or at the very least good years, then downturns, usually followed by upturns..
Reese may or may not be on the hotseat, but imho, he's one of the best we've had, certainly since Young's heydays..
one of the better Reese drafts actually...
How bad was the 2013 draft - ( New Window )
The Giants made out pretty well comparatively with Pugh & Hankins. And hopefully Nassib doesn't see the field anytime soon.
That's a bunch of BS. If you took a long snapper over a franchise QB you're damn sure gonna care.

especially not 3 years later. The only questions are can he play, can/does he help our team?

I don't think that was the point. SoDev is saying - who cares if someone like Apple is drafted 10th or 25th in a trade back. If he's a stud, nobody will care. We aren't talking about a long snapper here.
We were picking 19, how much further did you want to go back?
Pugh is a versitale player that is currently playing guard, and can play RT and LT if needed. You don't find that kind of player often.
Hankins is a great pass rushing DT.
The draft could have been a complete disaster, but we came out with 2 solid pieces to build a team around.
Oh really? Coaches don't give the benefit of doubt to a higher draft choice and the higher dollars allocated toward that higher draft choice don't come into play?
Then they had the Coughlin problem, for which I blame ownership more than Reese.
Put those two together and 2013-5 were just lost years. But the important thing is the Giants are finally on the right track. Avanti!
