According to the Palm Beach Post, the team thinks that a former financial advisor, who worked for Tunsil, was the one who leaked the bong video onto Tunsil's Twitter page. Although the Post didn't reveal the name of the financial advisor, it did note that the man was fired by Tunsil sometime before the NFL Draft.
Tunsil's lawyer, Steve Farese, didn't confirm that a former financial adviser was the hacker, but he did rule out the suspect who everyone originally pointed to: Tunsil's stepdad.
"Initially, that would be the low-hanging fruit. It was so counterintuitive, if that were the case, it wouldn't make any sense," Farese said in an interview with SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio. "Now I've drifted away from those thoughts and don't believe he had anything to do with it."
The twitter world is going to get worse. It's unbelievably out of control..Not sure if there's any solution beyond simply not participating in it..
It's Tunsil that needs to learn a lesson. And anyone else that doesn't yet get that you don't record yourself doing anything you don't want others to see. Especially if you have any kind of public profile. Dope.

HC and College coaches should harp on this to death. We see time and time again how social media ruins reputations whether the player deserves it or not. Best route is to not be on it at all.
I'm still amazed at some of my friends who are still on Facebook and the things they post on Facebook. It just isn't worth it.
As for Tunsil, finding the hacker doesn't excuse his poor judgement.

I know I am always amazed at how these young college stars allow their friends or themselves to record themselves doing something stupid or illegal. Manziel for instance has been in several photos taken by his friends that have gotten out. My favorite one was the rolled up $100 bill in the bathroom of a club. Great idea Johnny take a picture of yourself doing cocaine what could possibly go wrong.
I think the "spectacular" behaviors and events around each of them caused teams to search and discover the fact that those incidents may have been best examples of their behavior...not exceptions.
Exactly. The video just confirmed everything, but odds are the Giants weren't drafting him in the first anyway.
How funny is that wedgie now, you fat bastard!
Tunsil later fired the person after learning that he wasn’t registered with the NFL Players Association as a financial adviser. The man, who was noted named by ESPN, reportedly gave Tunsil a new phone in October. Persons close to Tunsil think the former business manager/financial adviser may have accessed Tunsil’s account by using Tunsil’s old phone.

He has issues and is not a sure thing.
I was too. I was one that wanted no part of him just from an injury standpoint. It doesn't make sense to complain about our injuries (every Giants fan has) and then turn around and say the Giants are dumb for not drafting a player at ten who never played a full season at college.

Frankly, top pick "can't miss" offensive linemen don't have a strong success rate lately.
I think with very high draft picks it is about teams not wanting to take risks because there are usually other good options available to them with less risk.
It really isn't about whether they are right or wrong but some players simply not worth gambling on with a high draft pick.
Even if he succeeds will we ever know if this reality check might not have been what he needed in order to take his career and life choices more seriously?
wonder if they have anything on our picks...good grief..
Well there were other warnings about his football abilities too. From before the video was released:

“I’d stay away from Tunsil. I think he’s got ‘bust’ written all over him. He’s always hurt and he goes out and runs drills good and some of these people go gaga. You can’t get intoxicated by a workout. The next time he finishes a block will be the first time.’’
That was private property that was released and the only way it happened would be someone wrongfully accessing his hard drive. He is an idiot from even keeping that vid around, but does not excuse someone from the wrong they did either
