here that are big gamers. Would I need to play the first 3 to play this game? Can I just buy this and skip the other 3? From what I hear this is a story based game so it might be fairly important?

You dont have to but you absolutely should. Get the uncharted collection. It's like 40 used for 3 EXCELLENT games.
I would highly recommend playing the first 3 first.

I just feel like it would take me forever lol. Not a huge gamer as it is (love sports games)and not sure I have the time to play all 4 back to back like that. Thanks for the tip though!
for an all-day brunch thing on Saturday. I wonder if there's a shop in the city that might be selling copies on Saturday morning. Would be great to get this and dig in.

It's a pretty hefty fine if you sell that game early. Doenst come out until Tuesday next week so I doubt it.

My guess is you wont be able to stop playing. I couldnt. But do what you feel is best. You could always youtube a series review to catch up.

I'd almost definitely say you don't need to play them to understand the story of the new game. There may be callbacks to the other games, but it'll stand on its own. And it's not like Drake has a ton of complicated relationships.
That being said, you should play them. They're amazingly fun and relatively short for story based video games. You'd probably blow through all three if you aren't the sort of gamer who needs to find every secret passage and stuff.

I was able to get Witcher 3 two days before release (on a Sunday) which is why I think I have an outside chance, but Saturday is even earlier so it'll be tough.

I agree. It's not necessary, but I think you would love them and be glad you did play them. Plus, you will probably be more invested in the storyline having played the different parts. One was cool, but it really takes off with Part 2.
was one of the first PS3 games so the graphics, ect. are kind of hard to watch/get through. Maybe start at 2? lol
It was remastered on ps4. The first one is a little dated even so but the game holds up well and the presentation/story is what it's all about. You wont regret it!!
