What a clinic that would be by Mayweather. I understand why people dislike Floyd and that boxing has fallen off because it lacks top matches and its corruption. But I'd watch that just because of the lack of respect boxing gets from a skills standpoint vs. MMA over the past decade.

Again, the hate is warranted but 49-0 is exactly that. Undefeated. McGregor last 'boxed' as a teenager and he had two losses as a MMA fighter before the general public knew who he was. His hype is at ridiculous levels.

disagree. Mayweater is completely unaccustomed to dealing with leg strikes and takedown maneuvers.

Mayweather's greatest strength is his defensive ability such that even when in close, opponents can't land clean shots at all. But in MMA, that goes out the window because of all the grappling.

Boxing match or UFC match? Boxing match McGregor is dead meat. Will be knocked out. UFC? Maybe has a pretty good chance.

This. The best boxer in the world against a UFC scrub in a MMA match is over in minutes because of lack of familiarity, skills, and training. The same is true of the best MMA fighter fighting a chump boxer. The real world results of guys trying this make it pretty obvious that years of training in a specific sport don't translate over to much use when the rules and sport are completely different.
